    I do it. If I outsourse articles to be written for me or any expense for the business. I "expense" it. I don't deduct it. There's a big difference with the tax hit. since it has a direct effect on calculating your bottom line that you pay taxes on.

    I can't speak for the US tax system John, but in the UK virtually all expenses associated with your business can be submitted to offset against your business income.

    Everyone has different circumstances, so I would suggest speaking to your local IRS office initially and if appropriate consult your accountant, if you have one.

    Posting such a question to a general business or marketing forum is useful for getting a general feel for what responding IMers are doing, but their individual circumstances may be very different to yours.

    If in doubt in these situations, always seek professional help.
