How To Reverse Engineer A Top Amazon Seller?

Anyone know any course or courses that would teach me how to locate a top Amazon seller and how to reverse engineer what they are doing so I do not have a hit and miss business starting out on Amazon?

The course should contain tools to help me locate a top Amazon seller and it should also contain tools that will help me reverse engineer what they are doing..... even finding the same or a better product to sell.

I know that this does not sound very kind, but it is better to be on this side than to spend all my time trying to find something only to have someone come along and reverse engineer me, which is what would happen if I was not going on the offensive right from the start.

I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT BEING AN AFFILIATE OF AMAZON, BUT BEING A SELLER ON AMAZON. THIS IS IMPORTANT TO KNOW TO ANSWER THE QUESTION.

Thanks for your help,

King Arthur

A course on explicitly copying business methods? In business, anything copied is second-rate. I'd avoid any course that proposes to teach these secondary methods.

I know someone who has a course on how to reverse engineer affiliate marketers and he makes about a million dollars a month doing this, so the proof is in the pudding my friend.

I think you can figure things out by just studying the listings of the seller. Some hints include how many people have reviewed the product and the number of stars they gave it. Then search on Google for any wholesaler or drop shipper that may carry that product. You might consider the program offered by Amazon to stock the inventory and send it to your customer. But competing with the exact same product might mean you'll have to lower your price and shipping to take some of their business. Something really frustrating you'll discover about this way of doing business is that many times items become out of stock or discontinued. When that happens, lots of times you'll get orders only because the buyer was told the item was out of stock from another seller using the same wholesaler you both share but you didn't know it was out of stock or discontinued until you got the order. You really got to keep up with the stocking levels or Amazon will pull the plug on you.

If I am an Amazon seller, can I have products shipped direct to Amazon from the company that manufactures them so I can use "fullfillment by Amazon" to sell the products or does Amazon want the products to come direct from where I am located and not boxes of products coming to them direct from the manufacturer?

I believe that is possible although I haven't done it yet...at this stage I get the products and then ship to Amazon for FBA. When I trust the supplier more I will ask them to send direct.

Each product/supplier is different though. Some products might need to be packaged by you and some suppliers won't send to Amazon. I imagine it might also depend how much of their product you are selling. If you are selling a lot they will probably be more accommodating.

If the supplier sends direct to Amazon, you have to give them two forms that describe the products in the box. You get these forms from amazon seller central.
