Clickbank - Fiverr and more

Been grazing, lurking and learning a lot on this Forum for quite a while. Now it is time for a couple of observations and comments !

Clickbank - this outfit never ceases to amaze me ! Know a few are no doubt doing well, but let me point out 'how' they make a great deal of their money ! I made an $85 commission - then the fine print came into play. Forgot all the gory details, but something to the effect it had to be from 5 different (type) card sales, so many different areas and other fine print stuff. Since it didn't meet all their criteria - Clickbank began to slurp it up (friendly service charge) at so much a week - until it was all gone and I never received one red cent !! (This also applies to Comm.Junction and a few others who do the same thing.) Spot any of these names during an affiliate signup - and I'm outta there ! One time on a forum, some dude raved on and on how he made a $4 commission on Clickbank and this propelled him into a five or six figure income in a short time period ....I don't think so !! Recently someone is sooooo elated making his first Clickbank sale - and over 1200 warriors profusely congratulated the endeavor. Encouragement is great - just hope the happiness isn't marred by not being able to collect the money !

Fiverr is okay to good - plus there are gobs of others popping up and many leave after a short time - I have a list of 70 plus. Put fiverr micro jobs in any search engine, you will be bombarded. Many let you add extras to the job - so is not all just $5 a crack. Have not hit retirement-status yet, but at least they do pay, even if a short wait period. By keeping the same username - found a lot of gigs have made their way into the search engines now, plus they never bug your email with a bunch of stuff.

Traffic is the biggest snag I've run into. Any friendly suggestions are appreciated. . . .

I have collected and still collect cb checks. My experience is nowhere close to yours. Can you elaborate on the charges killing you CB income?

This is copied directly from their webpage:

    Customer Distribution Requirement (CDR)
ClickBank will withhold payment of any balance until an account shows a minimum of 5 sales using at least two of the following payment methods:
    • American Express
    • Carte Bleue
    • Diners Club
    • Discover
    • ELV (European Direct Debit)
    • JCB
    • Maestro
    • MasterCard
    • PayPal
    • Visa
This requirement is in place to help prevent Affiliates from abusing the ClickBank Affiliate program by using their accounts for the sole purpose of fraudulently collecting rebates and/or discounts on their own purchases.
Once you have met the Customer Distribution Requirement, your account will begin issuing payments normally, in accordance with our Accounting Policy, beginning on the next payment issuing date.

I had one $85 sale - details are close to what I stated in above original post. . . .

No, I have bought some gigs there and after that, they started to spam me with emails containing gig promotions in the categories where I purchased the gigs.

I was lucky that my first income came mainly from ppc traffic so I knew what I had to do get enough sales to meet this requirement from clickbank. Relying on search engine traffic is a bit tricky especially if it is very low as you can wait for ages before you make another sale. You can however scale up your free traffic by using social media sites such as facebook, stumbeupon, youtube etc. There are tons of tips on how you can effectively use these sites for traffic.

The '5 different card sales' was not the problem.

It was because your account went dormant (no sales after 90 days)

As far as clickbank is concerned, to each his own.

A lot of people are able to make money off of clickbank while others struggle. Enough about that.

The key to making money on Fiverr is to keep at it. That's all. It's not rocket science, find gigs that you can do and offer them at a better deal than everyone else.

If someone is offering 1,000 likes for $5, you offer 1500. The extra 500 isn't going to be hard to do and it will be worth it to establish your name.

Clickbank has always held a reserve of funds. I don't blame them... it's protection against fraud from customers, merchants as well as affiliates.

Never had a problem with clickbank and they've been in this biz a LONG time. Solid company.

Was the order fraudulent or charge backed order?

Nett - Should have clarified listing Gigs with them - no spam bugging - ordering, dunno !

Mr Unconventional - was a straight up legal order - know they are well known. Still, watch that fine print ! - and I AM smiling ;-)
