I recently bought a domain hearthealthyrecipes.org.

it has about 15,000 searches per month and decent CPC. how best can this be built into a website. a recipes website, selling a recipes book, adsense, which is the best option?

Yes, it's great to build a recipes website and run some ads on it. The domain is really good and if you have a large amount of good, healthy recipes posted on the website you will gain lots of search traffic as well as ad revenue.

Nice domain name and a good topic. How about monetizing with books from Amazon? You can curate other general health related news or topics. Then there are videos you can add to your site. I would be interested in seeing how it all turns out.

Start on the lower end with some basic recipes and articles about how food is influencing the heart health.
Then add affiliates related to that.

Next step could be that you issue your own ebook.

Producing your own vids with cooking the recipes would turn you into a brand that accumulates a godo amount of followers that might buy every new book.

Uugh guys.. no.. if your going to spend hours working on something, weeks of your life, and really do something.. man.. do it right. Don't blow your time on a .org domain chasing some low level traffic that might pan out or might not.. develop domains with SOLID industries that you have some industry behind. Recipes.. no way. There is traffic out there that I can make money on paying $2-3 per click.. me personally buying the traffic.. those are domains you outfit.. not shooting in the dark for adsense dollars.

While SuperKC could have right from one point of view, from another one is this: if you do nothing, you will get nothing... so in my opinion is always better to do something, especially if you already have a solid domain name...

I think you can definitely start off with a website or blog with recipes and informative articles... and Amazon books are definitely not the only thing you can promote to monetize that website... I'm sure you can find something better on Clickbank and you can promote different products (not only recipe books) related to "heart health" ... I don't know that niche but I'm sure there are products available with a subject of "how to improve health of your heart" or something like that...

    • also put an email submit form on there; capture emails with like a weekly "new recipe" or something; setup an autoresponder and market to your list over an over
