[Solo Ad business] How to control clicks without rotator?

Hi,

I have noticed that many solo ad sellers advertise that they do not use any link rotators.

Ok, this might be stupid newbie question but how in earth can you control the amount clicks that you are sending without link rotator?

Lets say you have a list of 15,000 subscribers with 5% CTR. So for every email that you send to that list, you'll get 750 clicks. So how can I sell for example 200 clicks to that list if I am not using generic swipe + rotator?

If I send a email that promotes exactly that one offer, I really can't rotate visitors to any other landing page after the 200 clicks.

I'd like to start selling clicks to my list but haven't figured this out

I don't think many solo ad sellers have just 1 list of 15K subscribers. They more likely have 10 lists of 1500 subscribers and know the average amount of clicks they'll get from each list.

Anyways, i would find it hard to believe serious solo ad sellers would't use an ad rotator. Clicks are their business right

Ok, but why do they say that they are not using rotator and I can use my own swipe?

I feel that rotator is the only way you can control clicks. But with rotator you'd have to use generic swipe as rest of the clicks will end up somewhere else.

when I sell solo ads I do a guaranteed minimum. Buyers typically prefer to use their own swipes.

Sure I may over deliver a solo ad, but I would rather over deliver than under deliver. But, my business focus is not on 'selling solos' so the way I run my lists are probably different than 'pro solo sellers.'

I find the most responsive lists are the ones who haven't been hammered by every offer on the web.
