Is it okay to use a pseudonym?

People call them 'pen-names'. However incorrectly. You are creating a false identity, not a pen name or pseudonym. And that is done to try to hide your real identity, often because your real identity has ZERO credibility in the industry you are trying to sell info products in.

Not saying it's wrong to do. I am saying it is wrong to lie to yourself about what you are doing and why you are doing it, like calling it a pen-name or pseudonym. Pen names and pseudonyms are for authors, not self-published ebook sellers. Putting together an ebook does NOT make you an author. Just like buying a guitar and plucking a few random strings does NOT make you a musician.

Fake identities are for Info Marketers, that is what you are creating. You have men here that pretend to be women so they the gain confidence of their targeted female audience, and you have women pretending to be men and talking about how much bigger their wee wee is after using their method they want to sell you, etc.

These are fake identities, perceived necessary to generate sales and gain buyer confidence, not pseudonyms or pen-names.

Ya'll need to stop lying to yourselves on this issue and stop using words that are not appropriate to soothe whatever alarms might be going off in your head about potentially crossing ethical boundries.
