Clickbank redirecting

Hello everyone,

this is my first thread on this forum, i switched from blackhatworld to warriorforum because I think people are more friendly here.

I'm now trying to succeed with Clickbank. People say that you have to redirect a domain name to the Clickbank product I'm promoting. I did that, ''Winallsportbets.tk ''. but what's the point? How do this get me more sales?
I'm sorry if this is a dumb question, but I'll really appreciate some help.

Thanks!

I think people are referring to link cloaking. For example yoursite.com/link1 would redirect to a ClickBank hoplink. This is common practice and recommended for a variety of reasons such as tracking, as well as masking your link so it doesn't appear as an affiliate link.

If you Google "clickbank link cloaking" you can find more information about this process.

actually I nearly got a sale but that person never buy

well I heard before shorten the url etc

overall I still struggle to get target traffic.

the main task is not the link issue I feel is getting target traffic for me

As MilesBaker said, it's primarily so you have a clean URL to display and send people to. I'm more likely to click yourwebsite.com/something rather than fdsjkhfas.clickbank.com.

Well greetings. I do more posting on BHW than I do here. And although I agree about WF members being more friendly, I have learned 100xs faster over there (because they don't censor information). Either way I love both forums.

To answer your question, there is no point to cloaking your link (thats just my personal opinion from my own testing). Let me rephrase, you definitely NEED to cloak your affiliate link, but a .com redirect offers no advantage.

Many people say it increases conversions by "10-20%" but I tested the hell out of it and did NOT notice ANY increase in conversions whatsoever.

I have an account generating lots of hops, and some videos with very good conversion rates. But my conversions did not increase by a fraction of a % on any of my videos.

So these days I use all tinyurl links.

I think people who recommend cloaking haven't thoroughly tested it. Because it DOES make sense on the surface, that a .com redirect would seem more credible and convert better... and you obviously want to cloak an obvious affiliate link... but whether you do it with a tinyurl or a .com does not matter. If you really think about it, if you have a compelling message, and something that people want, they are clicking the link regardless of whether its a tinyurl or a .com.

As long as the link is short and relevant, thats all that matters if you ask me.

    I totally agree with -RS

@Complexxx: Why is that. use paid traffic, solo ads or make an good face book ad or something it is not that difficult.
