Default Click Bank Shopping cart abandon rate?

Any suggests on dealing with Abandon rate with clickbank?

I know we can't control the order page but is there anything else we
can do to decrease abandon rates when selling through ClickBank?

Thanks in advance,

Craig

Hi Craig

Base on your finding, why do people abandon buying from Clickbank?
Isn't it just a payment method to the buyer?

Well, if the price is not stated clearly in the sale page, I suppose all payment page and shopping cart will behave the same way to the buyer then. What to do with Clickbank?

Craig

ClickBank introduced product images to help
reduce abandon rate.

Perhaps you should do some testing at different price points.

I would be inclined to introduce your price on the sales page though, there are many ways of doing this - and it saves potential customers from a shock reaction, if the price is to high for them.

Just my brief thoughts,

Jeff.

I would also think the percentage is higher due to the fact that all the affiliates promoting the site click through to see if their affiliate code is working on their links. I know I check my links quite often.

This could easily raise the abandoned percentage higher than normal if you have a lot of affiliates promoting the product.

As a buyer, I don't see a point about how the link looks like. I suppose, only marketers like us look at them :P

As for going to another page like shopping cart, I suppose one might feel troublesome. For me I am fine. But I hate seeing pages after pages to fill in information before even start paying. Normally after hitting the BUY button, I expect 1 page for me to fill in information for payment. Hit another button and the transaction is completed.

Come to think about it, buying from Amazon is not as easy as buying from Clickbank right?

Thanks Harvey,

I'll test it but I can't see how 100pix by 100pix is going to help.

I have tested it extensively over thousands of unique visitors by placing a cookie right before and right after clickbank's payment page: 3 out of 4 unique visitors exited the funnel at clickbank's page without completing the payment, and the price was clearly stated on the sales page.

Does anyone know what the actual abandonment rates are?

I just gave you the hard numbers 3 posts above: in my tests, 3 out of 4 people navigate away from my site at clickbank's payment page.

This year I'll move so I can have more control over the cart page :-)

Having said that, Click bank has been good to me.

That's not hard numbers . . . that's your personal experience and best guess.

I am talking about true split testing with advanced tracking in place.

There's no split testing to be done at Clickbank payment page - it's just the way it is. I used Affiliate Prophet for that and drove thousands of clicks to it. I'd insert the first cooking within the "Buy Now" button (linking to clickbank's payment page) and another cookie at the ThankYou page. Only 25% of the cookies who got triggered on the BUY NOW button materialized on the ThankYou page. The reasons? I dont know.

If that's not hard numbers... well, run your own tests.

I know that the clickbank abandonment rates are high... Im not too sure about the exact numbers but I do know how you can increase your sales by 25-35% without even making big changes to your site. If you would like more information, feel free to PM me
