How to monetise small list in niche software vertile
Hi Everyone, I am looking for some pointers here. I have a small list of software users (around 800 opt in) it is quite active, I get 35% opens and 7% clicks from a weekly email. The software that the list is about is mid-market and the typical implementation cost is between 1m and 5m USD. There are also a number of companies selling add ons for the software for 20-100k USD. So this is VERY niche but the numbers are high.
I figure that my list should be valuable to resellers and implementers of the software, but I am not really sure how to go about it. I could simply sell ad space, but that will limit my revenue. Ideally I would like to grab a slice of the profit that my advertisers would make from leads generated from my list.
So I could invite them to do mailings to my list or I could do mailings for them, however, then I am not sure how I can know if a sale was generated as a result of one of my mailings and therefore claim my payment.
I hope that makes sense, I am really just looking for some practical suggestions from folks who may have come across this sort of challenge before.
