GoDaddy is not renowned for its hosting. I use D9, which is run by UK marketers and gives you a choice of where your server is.

Personally, I use eUKHost. They've always been very helpful with 24/7 customer service requests and I've found their hosting packages offer good value for money.

I probably sound like I'm hardcore sales pitching, but they've served me very well over the years.

If I was you I would stay as far away from GoDaddy for hosting !
I heard all kinds of bad stuff about them all the way down to turning you in to the FCC ...

They are okay for domains but Never Hosting ...

Heart & TSO Host

I think I prefer TSO as their control panel is more standard, but both good & generally reliable (only had 1 minor issue, once with Heart)

I've used some rubbish webhosts before, and been burned... so I'm glad of that

I had some unusual requirements, which were no more demanding than their standard package (just slightly different), so TSO actually adjusted the settings for me, and gave me that package anyway.

For shared hosting, I've always had the best experience with Vidahost (Not affiliate link).

And this isn't a review based on me personally using them and trying no other host to make a comparison. I've worked with hundreds in an old day job.

I just opened an account with Vidahost and I am very impressed. I'll be hosting with them the main online store for the company I work for.

EUKhost has been very good as well, I've had a couple accounts with them for several years now.
