The Only Buy Button That Can Compete With The Infamous "Belcher"... 200-318% Conversion Increase

Okay. In the spirit of the incredibly useful thread started by BlueSquares revealing Perry Belcher's infamous "buy button" located HERE, I wanted to start a thread for one of the only other button that's being used just as much if not more so than his. Ironically, it's actually the design of his fellow biz partner Ryan Deiss.

Spikes of 200-318% have been seen by this button, (with respect to sales as well as opt-ins) and many top-level marketers absolutely swear by it.

In fairness, "The belcher" may have slightly out-pulled this version in a few tests (or so I've heard), but for the most part I believe they're pretty neck and neck. Use them both and test them AB. Either way, you'll arguably be using one of the two best buttons out there that have been proven to significantly increase sales and conversions.

Check out Deiss's video then right click and "save image as" to your computer.

As was stated in the belcher thread, props have to be given to the marketer himself who did all of the work putting this together -- in this case it's Ryan Deiss. I'm just the guy passing along the info... Cheers

YouTube - The "Magic" Buy Button That Doubles Sales

PS Ryan Deiss freely gives this information out on his blog located HERE and gives complete verbal permission to use this button. If there is a conflict, I will be more than happy to immediately remove the image, link, and/or youtube video.

PPS I'm an owner of Deiss's 43 split tests and it's well worth the value. If you're interested in learning more, check it out HERE (non-aff link).

To say a buy button increase conversions by 200% means triple the sales. I'm not saying this won't increase conversions but to say triple makes me wonder what it was tested against.

No prob BlueSquares. Props are much deserved. Unfortunately no PSD for this one. Just the jpeg, although you may want to search his blog...
Trader, I understand your point but as I stated above, I did not conduct the test myself, however in the video ryan shows a few of the buttons it tested against. I have no reason to doubt the results, however, as previously stated, always do your own testing. Thank you both for posting.

The button has a good call to action, if someone hasn't put any call to actions in their sales page, I can see how it'd might be able to get high numbers, i just used it myself, it's a lot better then the one i had put in thanks alot!

No prob powerspike. Just make sure to test it against what you were using before as well as the Belcher. See what works best for you. Cheers.

I think these buy buttons will increase the sales and conversion for sure. I feel surprised when they say it increased it 300% , 400% etc..

May be there is something I am not able to get it

    Thanks,

Yup... know what you mean. I believe he (deiss) means conversions in the form of opt-ins as well as sales. Check out the video linked above for further explanation. It's really quite detailed for being only 5 minutes long. A bit of a pitch at the end for his split testing product... but what do you expect... he is a marketer after all.

I must say I heard about this last year and I immediately tested this exact button out on one of my sites - split tested it for 7 days days against my regular 'boring' add to cart button and guess what - my old boring button converted more that this one 3/1. I was very surprised, but the point is you have to test it in your own market - mine was casino-related, not internet marketing related. Just thought i'd give you my personal results of using this button.

I'm pretty sure this part of Ryan's 43 split tests product - which are actually Perry Belchers split tests. So I think this is really just his implementation of the Belcher Button.

Right both of you are. I own 43 split tests. Great product by the way. Anyhow, great to see you active Stu! Add your profile pic as your avatar and start posting away. You've got a lot of value to add to the community. And thanks, by the way, for hooking up my vid problems this morning! You are seriously "da man"

LOL. In Colorado at the moment but I definitely won't say no to a drink. Glad the button worked for ya, but like I said up top, I'm just the guy passing on the info. Deiss & Belcher deserve the credit.

    Nice find!

I noticed there was no PSD file for this, so being the graphic designer that I am I took this and created a PSD file for you guys!

The layers are now editable, and you can swap out credit card buttons if you want, and change the text.

    http://www.makeyourownminisite.com/AddToCartButton.psd

so you can do stuff like this:

  • For those who don't know, here's how it works:

Here's a complete template to use for yourself:

If you like the 'new' Magic Buy Buttons that have the countdown timer built in so the Buy Button doesn't appear immediately, try this instead:

This first part of this script needs to be pasted into your HTML code somewhere between the <HEAD> and </HEAD> tags. For ease of explanation, open the HTML file for your sales page and simply find the </HEAD> tag. Right before that, paste the following snippet of JavaScript:

    Code:
    01 <script type="text/javascript">
02 // edit the number of seconds to wait
03 // before showing the buy now button
    04        var secs=5;
    05
06 // main function where all the magic happens
    07        function doMagic() {document.getElementById("buyButton").style.visibility = "visible";}
    08
09 // make page wait before doing the magic
    10        setTimeout("doMagic()", (secs*1000));
    11 </script>
This is the main part of the script that will be doing all the “Magic”…

What you will want to do is simply edit the part where it says “var secs=5;” to the amount of time in seconds that you want the page to wait before showing your “Buy Now” button. For example: “var secs=300;” would wait for 5 minutes before showing your “Buy Now” button. You can synchronize this with a specific time during your video presentation.

The “MAGIC” comes into play if you have a video on your sales page with you (or someone else) speaking , or even just a simple PowerPoint presentation that you’ve converted for use on the web. If you have a part in your video where you are saying something like, “Don’t miss out, BUY NOW!”, you can “MAGICALLY” have your “Buy Now” button appear at the exact time you finish saying those words.

Now let’s get to the part of your page that will contain the actual “Buy Now” button that will allow your customers to pay you.

We will be using a hidden DIV layer for your BUY NOW button so we can essentially force visitors to finish watching our presentation before we show the price tag of our product. Sometimes a price will scare away someone who might have bought your product if they had only finished listening to what you had to say.

Whatever part of your page that you want your “Buy Now” button to show up, simply paste the following code:

    Code:
    01 <div align="center" id="buyButton" style="visibility: hidden">
    02 <form name="_xclick" action="https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr" method="post">
    03 <input type="hidden" name="cmd" value="_xclick">
    04 <input type="hidden" name="business" value="you@your.com">
    05 <input type="hidden" name="currency_code" value="USD">
    06 <input type="hidden" name="item_name" value="Magic Buy Now Button Script">
    07 <input type="hidden" name="amount" value="4.99">
    08 <input type="image" src="http://www.paypal.com/en_US/i/btn/btn_buynow_LG.gif" border="0" name="submit" alt="Make payments with PayPal - it's fast, free and secure!">
    09 </form>
    10 </div>
To save yourself from losing any potential sales, this next bit of code will NOT act as a “Magic Buy Now Button”. This will simply just make sure that a “Buy Now” button is shown to those with no JavaScript enabled.

What you want to do is simply paste this snippet of code directly under the previous bit of code we just pasted. This is the part of code that will save you from missing any potential sales due to some people having JavaScript disabled:

    Code:
    01 <noscript>
    02 <div align="center" id="buyButton">
    03 <form name="_xclick" action="https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr" method="post">
    04 <input type="hidden" name="cmd" value="_xclick">
    05 <input type="hidden" name="business" value="you@your.com">
    06 <input type="hidden" name="currency_code" value="USD">
    07 <input type="hidden" name="item_name" value="Magic Buy Now Button Script">
    08 <input type="hidden" name="amount" value="4.99">
    09 <input type="image" src="http://www.paypal.com/en_US/i/btn/btn_buynow_LG.gif" border="0" name="submit" alt="Make payments with PayPal - it's fast, free and secure!">
    10 </form>
    11 </div>
    12 </noscript>
You may not have noticed a whole bunch of difference between this snippet and the one prior. That’s because there isn’t much difference at all! We’ve only added the <noscript></noscript> tags and cut out some of the style properties that would leave the DIV layer hidden. What you may have noticed is that I’ve done this code with PayPal Buy Now buttons. I’ve done that because a lot of us use PayPal, so I wanted to show you how this would look using what you are familiar with.

Here is a page that shows exactly how this script can work for you. If you are the least bit technically savvy, you could even view the source of the site and simply plug your content in. Without further ado, here's the MAGIC BUY BUTTON SCRIPT DEMO SITE.
