Some Start-Up Affiliate Marketing Questions

Hello!

I come from Germany so excuse some mistakes in language.

I want to promote an affiliate offer on clickbank (my first) and I dont know whether I understood the overall system. I hope you can help me!

The product I want to promote is one of the dating niche: Goldfish

At first: I have around 1kUSD$ as a start-up bankroll.

1. Get the offer (done)

2. Build a squeezepage for listbuilding. I instruct a freelancer for that and want to use Aweber to save the mails and track everything around the squeezepage.

3. Link to original affiliate offer: Okay, in my example I will link my customer to ANOTHER squeezepage. In my mind, this is not really profitable. I mean they have to click through so many pages and insert their email to get to the final product. Do you guys think that converts?

4. Get Traffic: I want to start with PPC-traffic. Now I`ve read about so many different opinions. I saw one video from Vick Strizheus, where he talks about adknowledge and stop thinking about expensive Google/Facebook Ads. In all the forums, I only read about PPC in context of exact these google/facebook ads.

5. Contact the person who offers the product to set up my Javascript on their Thank-you page so I can track my sales with hypertracker.com

Did I forget something in that starting "system"?

Thanks alot,
David.

If you plan to create multiple squeeze pages then you might want to consider buying OptimizePress or AuthorityPro

If you're going to be paying for the traffic then it makes sense to capture the prospects email addresses so you can lower your CPC by following up with other offers. An offer that initially seems unprofitable can often be made profitable simply by following up. You can't do that if you capture emails

If you're new to PPC then tread very carefully here. Many of us here have burned through thousands of dollars on PPC campaigns simply because we didn't know how to use it effectively.

The only thing I can think of would be to start writing a set of autoresponder emails so you can followup automatically.

    Best of luck to you

I don't send traffic traffic to opt in pages anymore. I Do This instead...

    Hi David,

    You are not entirely wrong.

But you are not entirely right either.

I did try paid advertising in my first year when I was starting out in IM way back in 2008.

Though I made $1700 online - which I told my family and friends, I could only cash out $600 due to Google Adwords charges - which I did not tell anyone.

But back then I was quite naive. I knew nothing of keyword research so I just wracked all keywords related to the work-from-home program I was promoting that time.

The following year my account was banned permanently by Google Slap so I have been using free methods all this while.

Article marketing, blogging, classified advertising, directory submissions, PDF sharing sites, press releases and video submission to sites like Youtube.

    You name it.

    I have done them all.

But of all these methods, I find forums and blog comments on sites related to your niche converted the best.

Don't get me wrong. Just because I say converted the best does NOT meant they will make you money right now or instantly. But in terms of getting more traffic to your sites.

I do not know and have not tried any paid advertising since so I cannot really answer your question on paid traffic at this time.

Still I hope my answers addresses some of your concerns.
