It's not that hard to build a blog, but it's very difficult to build a successful blog with significant traffic. I can help you with a few tactics to bring important amount of traffic to your blog. But remember, when you own a blog, what you should aim for is to bring traffic that converts - convince people to subscribe to your blog .

Here are the tactics I was talking about:

- Find you target audience - identify your blog audience and start creating content for it. You can't write for everybody. A blog should target a niche and update content considering it. Doing this, will increase the chances that your visitors will share your content and subscribe to blog updates.

- Participate in communities where your audience gathers. Start looking for forums, blogs from your industry, create an account and jump in with comments, posts, threads. What you should try to do here is help others, not only promote your brand (this should come on second place). You'll get traffic, trust and fans.

- Do some SEO - don't forget to optimize your blog content. If relevant and unique (this is how your content should be in the first place) your articles should be able to rank and receive important organic traffic.

- Massive social sharing - use the social networks in your advantage - share your posts and always look for opportunities to build relationships with influential people in your industry

- Always build your content on a keyword research basis - add the keywords in your title, headline, meta description and insert them in the body of the article.

- Use guest blogging - accept guest posts from other bloggers and do it yourself for other blogs. It brings traffic and if you're posting on the right blogs with a link back to your site, it's link building and it also matters for search engines.

- Enable subscriptions (and track them) - if people enjoy reading your content, they would want to subscribe to your blog updates. Give them this opportunity and track down your subscribers.

- Use surveys to find out what your visitors and subscribers want to read about. Conduct surveys and consider what people are saying.

Very important - don't give up! If you're not successful right from the beginning, be consistent and you'll see the results. They take time.

Hey I'm new at WF! And this is my first Reply ! When considering getting visitors to your blog It's obvious that USA visitors are more effective if you are making money from your blog. If you are using blogger I have a small but an effective tip.

You all know that in blogger we can share our posts via G+. This might take some times. but mostly 10 minutes a day is enough!

1. just imagine that we have 100 posts published in our blog.
2. Try to share all of these posts via G+. You can go to Blog --> Posts and syply share them using "share" button.
3. I can guarantee that you can get 5-10 unique visitors per share. If we think it's 5 if you have 100 posts you will get 100 * 5 = 500 unique visitors per day !!!!!!! believe 99% of them are from USA !

I use this method in MY NEW BLOG
and I have only 25 posts yet. Still it gets 200 USA unique visitors per sharing those posts.
This might take some time but you know "There's no Gain Without Pain". I hope this would be useful!

2) Buy the traffic until you have enough regular people revisiting and sharing your articles.

Where to buy traffic? Try Stumbleupon its quite cheap and people are used to sharing articles within the Stumble network.

If you see results there then buy traffic from Facebook and so on.

First thing: remember that all traffic is not created equal. At all.

Second thing: use that search function. You'll find literally hundreds of similar threads, and one even on the front page of the WF right now. Why does this topic come up EVERY single day?

Create short little 2-5 minute YouTube training videos that help
others within your chosen niche.

Get as many keywords you can find that get searched on YouTube
on a regular basis.

Use those within the titles of your videos.

This way you'll start ranking for keywords on Google as they now
own YouTube of course.

Add a link to your website within your description below every single
video you upload.

At the end of your videos ask your viewers to like, subscriber to your
channel and click the link to your website below your videos.

After creating these videos consistently for a few weeks/months
at least you'll begin to see some traffic head towards your website.

Best of all it will be targeted traffic too.

People who subscribe to your YouTube channel will begin to do most
of the sharing for you too as they like and subscribe to your videos.

It will become a knock on effect but you have to stay consistent
and not allow yourself to become distracted.

There are some tips you need to notice.
1. Update your blog article almost every day, and make it more beautiful and comfortable for viewers.
2. Pay attention to SEO tips, and make your site SEO friendly.
3. Promote your blog in different ways.

Advertise your website by leaving a posting content on forums or commenting on blogs specific to your niche, be sure to leave a link back to your website.

Go for social sites, this also depends upon what your blog niche is, if professional then go for linkedin and find relevant groups there, request to join there and start sharing quality stuff from your blog, if related to entertainment or kind of general niche then go for stumbleupon and pinterest these are two sites from where i got excellent results, just remember to post quality stuff, and if you are targeting stumbleupon and pinterest then you should have plenty of images and videos on your site .. then tend users to further share your site in their cimmunities

Writing and posting to your blog does NOT bring you more traffic. If currently no one knows his blog exists and aren't reading his posts then posting more of them is going to be futile, isn't it?

Reading other peoples blogs certainly won't bring traffic unless he's diverting that traffic from their blogs to his via links.

Generic advise like "advertise a lot" helps no one really. I'm pretty sure the OP thought of that himself but needs practical advice on HOW to do it.


You need is content worth reading so that people will actually want to spend time looking at it, make sure it's the best it can be on the subject.

You also need to figure out what other sites, forums, social media pages and other hubs your target audience are already visiting and then work on a strategy to get them from those sites to yours.

That could be from...

• Guest blogging or content syndication
• Blog commenting
• Posting to popular social media profiles
• Sharing your content in popular groups on Reddit
• Posting in forums giving useful advice and sharing helpful content with either links to your content if allowed or a clickable signature link
• Ego bait posts where you write such amazing things about your competitors they feel obliged to link to you, e.g. '10 best X blogs on the net', 'best blog posts about X' or even more creative where you publish some controversial or shocking posts / images / videos.
• Sharing others content on social media and then sharing yours with them and hoping they do the same works.

You should write long blog posts because people like detailed information. Your content must be really special. Your success mainly depends on your content, but of course, you have to promote it online. Excellent content alone is not enough.

When i start a new blog i focus on only two things relevant traffic.
1. Quality Content.
2. Find the biggest forum that relevant to my website and advertise there (not more then $100/Month)

You want to be able to recycle a lot of the traffic that you receive and monetize it. You want to make sure you are also building a list. A little controversy also helps to create a buzz really fast and awaken people's interest and bring in a lot of word of mouth traffic. You don't want to create a blog that talks about the same thing thousands of other blogs are talking about.

I remember seeing a guy that came out in the news who is a fitness trainer with 6 pack abs and in perfect shape. He created a blog and gained about 80 pounds of fat on purpose and then set a goal to get back in shape and posted every single detail with videos on how he did it on his blog. His blog became extremely popular fast and I believe he made a lot of money. A little creativity can go a long way.

Look for related blogs, contact the owner and offer to write a guest post in exchange for a link back to your blog. You get a good quality backlink and will get pre-qualified, relevant traffic via the link (if your article is good!).

I definitely agree that the most important part is unique, useful, and quality content. Include social sharing buttons on your blog, enable a subscription option to readers and include here a free report or other gift that they get just for signing up, and read other blogs to see what others are doing.

That is excellent advice, but what is great content any way. Hard to define and hard to produce, but there we are. Best approach is to create a lot of content and hope some of it gets linked to by others, but that takes a long time and you want results right away.

There ya have it...the two keys to success for accomplishing anything online.

Join as many tribes as humanly possible. Promote the stuffing out of your tribe mates. Then a high number of your buddies will promote you in return. Of course create blog posts. Create content that solves the problems of your target market. But building your blogging friend network through tribes is one of the quickest and easiest ways to increase your visitor count.

Press releases and submission, social media is quickest way to increase blog traffic, you can also do blog commenting and guest posts.

In order to increase visitors, what I did is shared my blog link as much as possible using social networks, my website and also on every video I upload on YouTube. The more you share your blog posts and link to your blog, the more visitors you get.

You wont get 1000's of visitors overnight, everything takes time.

Create a landing page, grab peoples information, and connect with them when you post and update. Make sure you grab onto the little traffic you are creating initially to keep them coming back

Assuming you have very good content on your blog, you will be able to easily get visitors. You'll want to establish yourself as an 'expert' by regularly reading and making relevant comments on other related blogs. And, this is not solely for SEO but more so as to create credibility for your own site. The readers of the other blog will come to trust what you have to say if you add relevant material in your comments and want to come by to see what you have to say on your blog.
