what information would you pay $997 dollars for?

There are so many programs and courses out there. Some low prices, some very high ticket prices.

I was wondering what type of internet marketing training/course would justify a $997 price when a lot of the info out there can be found here on Warrior Forum?

I'm not one of those people whos say everything can be found for free so there's no point in paying for a product. I'm a firm believer in paying for stuff. I don't have time to research everything for free and would rather pay for service/product/coaching and get the goods. So anything that can provide value to my life I'll gladly pay for.

Never payed for any internet marketing course ever, not even $0.01. I think if you payed $20+ you'd be a sucker.. but $997... wow.. you'd may as well have a homeless guy watch your wallet while you go to the bathroom, cause that's about all you'll get from that.

    Risk vs value.

If the risk is low (I invest in assets, not in pdf) and profit potential is high (10x) then why not. I'd happy to pay $997 if I get $10,000 back.

If the risk is high (I buy a crappy eBook) and I might make money then I couldn't justify the investment.

High ticket products are usually coaching. It can be anything above +$1,000...

Well, I said usually The higher the price, the more justification you need to that price tag. With eBook it is pretty hard to justify +$100 prices. But just hard, not impossible

If I sold a $997 eBook which tells you how you can make $40,000 / month and you make it within 3 months or you get your money back no questions asked. Would you buy it? I certainly would

I agree with Cuie as well. I purchased such a 'product' when I started out but for that I received a world of up to date relevant training (on almost everything to do with IM, but also a community of fellow IMers on call to help me when I needed it. Plus reseller rights for the product with 50% commissions which was well worth it.

I think the main thing is to do the research and not impulse buy and yes if there is a full money back guarantee I guess it is pretty much a no brainer.

Cuie's answer is spot on - read his first answer again. Thing is, you need to get into the mind of your prospect and he is really answering your question. You are effectively asking what it would take for him to part with $997 and he told you.

If I almost know for sure that I will make more than $997.

Factors that influence this are: credibility of the author, real reviews of users, check other products of the author, send the author an email with questions about the product, etc.

Some of you are saying "If for sure I would make more than the $997 then I'd definitely buy it", This is on you not the product. No one can make you take action but yourself.

As for what I would pay $997 for, it would take alot for me to invest that much into a product. I've never gone that high and I work for myself full time at home, at the coffee shop or where ever I want to be so with that said, it's about your dedication and ability to take laser focused action to do the things every day that are going to make money and not focus on how to spend your money.

There are two things that would allow me to decide whether paying that price (or any price) is worth it:

    1. Who is offering it - Is it a university? A well known and respected marketer? Or a fly by night guy offering to make you $10,000 per month when he's never made a fraction of that? If I told someone that I took a program/course from XYZ will they be impressed or will it not matter?

    2. Is this a certified course - Can I receive an official certification?

if the payment is accompanied by a guarantee that I will recoup that money within three to six months then it is a worthwhile investments. Other than that it is not worth the risk unless you make a net of $10000 per month.

  • I purchased my very first info product off a TV for about 2 grand, that was an impulse buy but I bought at seminars (impulse again i guess) for 997 and 1997 is the usual price. I think for that price it has to be very very specialized where you can't find it in a book store and get some help from the expert selling it, just my 2 cents

People pay $100,000 for a 4 year college course

$977 for a training that would lead you to make $10,000 a month would be money well spent

That's just it. WF, really, should cost $997. Or $9997.

This is a huge sum of money. I would never pay such an amount on any training course. Oh, well....suppose this course helps me earn at least twice as much money :-D I would think about it :-D
There are guides or webinars that can be of great help. I would pay...let's say $10 maybe if it is valuable and if I know the information will be of great help.

You're making an incorrect assumption that a lot of the info out there can be found for free on the Warrior Forum.

When you're really making money Online, it's just smart business to reinvest a percentage of it into education. You want to learn from people who are experts at things that can help take your business to another level. A $997 product or coaching can literally be worth tens of thousands to your bottom line.

However when you're struggling to pay your bills and don't have a clue about what you want to do Online, you're probably right to look at $997 as expensive.

Maybe another question could be "when you would spend that money"

If you are starting out and looking at a product that tells you how to start out, this is probably not such a good deal.

If you have a business already making a profit enough that you have 997 to spend, and are looking to make it bigger, then this is probably a more reasonable purchase.

The 997 ones that tell you how to setup a wordpress site and what a hyperlink is, unless you have a lot of money from some other area of your life, keep your wallet in your pocket.

If you are struggling I am sure $97 will be expensive

I have paid many times that amount, typically what I'm looking for are very specific answers to burning questions I have, a credible (proven!) provider of that information, some evidence that their methods work and ideally, at that price point, some access to the information provider (coaching, Q&A call, etc...)

Interesting enough, I also started out in a niche with infoproducts where it naturally evolved from $27 ebook, through $97 video series into a $997 back-end offering that combined the elements I listed above.

Main thing is to think through what someone "MOST advanced" in your niche is looking for. I find that many IM'ers shoot for the low-end or, at best, the intermediate customer when shooting for the highest achievers is where the most desperate and most advanced users are willing to pay the highest premium because they have the most to gain (in their own minds)

I paid $19K per year to go to school and if I could do it again I wouldnt have done that either. I dont think there is any 'info' that is worth $997. Keep in mind coaching is not "info" coaching is someone taking the time to make sure you understand the info .. IE your paying for the 'teaching' not for the info mostly.

    Hi,

maybe you can provide a free mini course and after you can do your proposal... The priceis important but not fundamental in the this field.
