Price on my product

Dear warriors,

I need your advice.

I will be releasing a product in the near future which is a simple system which allows to make money with adsense. The system does not require anything being purchased, its just time which is the input. The system will be in camtasia videos mainly.

What I was wondering is what is the best price to put on it? I was thinking $67USD. Is that ok? Or is this too dear?

I was thinking about putting it up on clickbank, however not sure if thats the best place to put it as there are other places with a good marketplace, such as paydotcom

Your advice is much appreciated and I would be happy to give out couple of free accounts in exchange for testimonials. Let me know if you are interested. Once again, the camtasias are still being done, so I am couple of weeks away from launching.

    I think it is better to sell a bit cheaper than going over the top.Setting the price tag is always difficult.I would try to see what similar products are sold for and then set the price a bit lower than the competition.Nothing wrong in selling a bit cheaper but selling more units instead.

    Your price point is all about
    the value a potential buyer
    perceives your product to
    have.

    If you can create enough value
    in your visitor's mind, you can
    charge whatever you want.

    How many hours of video are
    there?

    Take a look through the CB
    marketplace, and find products
    with comparable video lengths.

    That should give you a great
    idea what others are charging
    for similar products.

    $67-$97 should be no problem
    for selling a video product, as long
    as you include plenty of proof
    and your copywriter doesn't drop
    the ball with the salesletter.

      The value counts. If you see its value at $67 then set it at that price.

      Or go for over-deliver for its value. Meaning you have a product worths $197 but selling at $67.

      Testing is the key factor to pricing. You just need to test and fine tune as you go along. I do sometimes adjust higher price after certain period of time as the value goes up.

      If your product is an on-going like requires upgrading as time goes by then you can make the initial price lower and charge a little for upgrading. Or you can charge one time price and free upgrade until a newer version with more features.

    TEST TEST TEST! 67 dollars might be good starting point, but you should also test 97 dollars. As David said, with a well written sales letter plus sales video on your sales page + some strong proof and testemonials it shouldn't be a problem to sell the package at even 127 or something.

      Remember to also take into account what % you are giving away to affiliates and what you will actually get per sale. I think $67 is a fair price.
