Best source to boost my fitness blog traffic?

Hi all. New warrior user here.

I put together a fitness based site (catering toward 3 niches within the fitness world) and have browsed a bit in these forums hoping to find a clear cut way to boost my existing traffic.

I have tons of genuine content, all written by me and all quality (no copying other people's stuff or spinning original articles), but really am not sure how to get the word out so to speak to get more viewers to my site.

Ultimately I want visitors to opt in to my free program so that I can market and hopefully sell my fitness program to them, but without traffic I have no real way of testing my copy or my autoresponder series to see where I need to tweak my offers.

Any suggestions on how to get definitive increases in traffic that I can use to test things?

My website is Core Domination - You Are the Machine! and would love some feedback from you pros

It depends on your budget. If you have enough budget there are a lot of places to put banners and ads (including solo ads). If you are with null budget is better to find fitness related forums and to post there useful info, and to edit your signature with link to your site.

I must be honest, i tried to read one of your posts "Workout Routines for Men" and it did not make for easy reading. Some of the sentences end with words cut off only to appear on the next paragraph.
It's obvious that you wrote it for the SE's instead of your readers. There is no real flow to get people interested.

The layout is OK but might be a little confusing for average users.
PS. Your Optin Form is not working:

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.

Thanks for catching that. Sometimes typing your articles directly into wordpress leaves you with format issues like this one. Had a sentence or two in there that I didn't structure quite right to input the keyword but fixed now. I'll intentionally disregard your input about "no real flow to get people interested" though, thanks.

New opt in form put to use as well (one of MANY things I am learning that is not laid out exactly from A to Z like it should be, ugh) but fixed now.

[QUOTE=coreDomination;8734007]Hi all. New warrior user here.

There are 2 ways to go about doing it.

The first one is the paid traffic methods whereby you placed ads in Google or Facebook. Though you can see results faster, there is an element of risk on how much you can afford to spend to get targeted traffic to your site.

You need to do constant tweaking, testing and tracking until your ad improves in conversion not just in people visiting your site but optin to your list and buying whatever you offer.

The second one is the free traffic methods. Because it is free, the results are slower. You can go to forums like this site but only difference is they are related to fitness.

Just go to Google and type fitness forums. You can also do blog commenting on blogs related to fitness which you can find on Google. But blog commenting works only if you provide valuable information to the owner and readers.

You can also go to Facebook and search for groups related to fitness. Join them but not ask them to visit your site first. Instead introduce yourself and provide valuable information just like how you should in forums. Once they know and trusted you, then you give them the link to your site.

    Hope this answers your question.

I would say one of your best bets at the moment for getting traffic is to visit some of the big fitness forums and pick up some followers there.

I would utilize Youtube. It's huge for this niche. I would either do a voiceover with screen capture or if you can get on camera, that's even better. Use some of the tips I give here: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...c-youtube.html

SEO in fitness is difficult unless you're very good at uncovering long tail keywords.

I'm in a fitness niche and focus on social media and it works very, very well. I don't bother with SEO at all and just focus on providing really interesting info my audience likes.

Social media is an instant feedback mechanism so you can quickly find out what type of info people want to read.

While there are a ton of affiliate products, and many are good (I've spent a lot of money on products and have used many over the years in my niche), you need to drive a lot of traffic and get a decent number of subscribers to make sales, especially with a broad site like yours.

Another approach is to niche down much more and run an email subscribership catering to a specific fitness technique/issue and promoting one or two excellent products that offer the specific solution/program/results.

The plus side is that is a huge market. Your site covers 3 broad niches. I run a broad site as well because my followers enjoy different categories. However, if you're looking to brand yourself as an expert, you'll want to niche down considerably. Take the guy who sells the Critical Bench product. It's super niche (how to increase your bench press). The guy has built a huge business with it (and it converts really well).

I'm in the same niche, find forums that are targeted to your niche and start posting with your website in your sig! Then just keep writing more and more content, you'll start to slowly rank for long-tail keywords.

Add video to your landing pages (VLP - Video Landing Page) that is informative and relevant to your site. Respected studies show that good video can improve conversions and page ranking more than most any other item you can add to your pages. You can also try SEOclerks, many freelancers on this site provide website traffic at a cheap rate.

Your blog looks quite nice and the sales pages are good too. You might want to test different price options, as I think 67$ is a bit too much for a weight loss program.

Regarding the traffic..from my personal experience (also in the Fitness niche) I found out that the best way to get people to your website is to get in front of your targeted audience. By that I mean to get involved in discussions on Forums, on popular Fitness Channels on Youtube, on similar blogs, on Facebook Pages and so on.

By helping others through legit comments and guest articles, you will get a lot of people back to your website and eventually turn them into customers.
