Something Very Weird with Wordpress?

Hey Gang,

I recently changed my post title and Permalink name to something different.

But what is so strange is that it is still working when I go to my old post title name / permalink...meaning that it is redirecting to the new link. How can this happen? I didn't create any redirects my self.

I made sure to clear all my cookies /tem folders/browsing history,m and it is still doing it. And its been over a week now. How can this be?

WordPress does it automatically for you.

It has an auto completion feature built in so you just have to start typing the end of an URL and it will auto complete.

You just type in http://yourdomain.com/ab, WordPress will automatically redirect you to http://yourdomain.com/about.

If the beginning part of your post tile and permalink name doesn't change, it will automatically redirect to your new page.

Do you do this for a little long time to change your link?
I think Google have caught your former link and then do redirect the old to the new one.

The other thing to do is change your permalink structure to something else and save, then change it back to the original setting and save again.

Well, if your URL is big enough and the new URL is using a lot of words from the old URL it can redirect to the new url.

Actually it was my redirection plugin... Any time you make a change to a permalink or post title name, it automatically populates the old plugin link as a 301 redirect in a groups tab. I guess they added this on the latest update. This is such an awesome plugin!
