Clickbank landing page when first testing?

When testing for new clickbank product campaigns do you create landing pages for different products straight of the bat, or do you for instance test different campaigns at the same time without a landing page and then if you think that it could be profitable then add landing pages and do more specific testing? the reason I ask, is because I use to just grab a clickbank product and put a landing page on it and it cost alot more that way as I had to pay someone to make the landing pages for me and when recently testing some new CPA campaigns someone told me to test without a landing page first to see if it is worth pursuing and then add landing page later, should I do it this way with clickbank products as well?

You can try promoting the product by direct linking. If the traffic that you are using is good and if the customer has been warmed up then can simply direct link.

If it converts well then you can have a squeeze page / presell / landing page for promoting the offer.

Personally if you are in the testing stage, I would not bother with landing pages. I would send traffic straight to the salespage and run at least a few hundred visitors. From there you should see whether the product sells or not and what sort of prices you are able to get clicks for. Once you've done that and found some potentially good selling products, you can then go back and add in a landing page and followup sequence to help increase those profits and turn the campaign profitable.
