How do you create a sales funnel that lead to membership site?

I am considering to create a membership site and I have the content structure up already. One of the things I need to figure out is to create a sales funnel that would lead to them subscribing to the membership site.

Can anyone share how you get people to subscribe to your membership site and also, what is the average price for membership site?

I recently launched a membership site for a digital product. It was created from a service I was providing offline. I got decent sales based on the topic which is not a hot topic.

    1. Check out your market, if there is one.
Most important of all is to find out if there is a real need for what you want to offer. If not you are wasting your time creating the site. Validate your idea first by selling first. Yes, find someone offline & get them to buy what you plan to create. Get 3 sales.

    2. See what competitors do well & what they don't do well. You want to provide more value than your competitors. Do it better in someways, if it is not a really new idea.

    3. If you don't have a sales funnel, you can start by copying your competitor as a start.
eg. sign up for their email sales sequence. If nobody know you, they won't buy/join on first visit.
Create a pdf offer to get sign ups.
Once your prospective ppl are in you email list, offer real value, answer likely questions through an autoresponder sequence. Many people will buy only after maybe 6 to 9 contacts.

    4. Get traffic - online and offline, guest post, FB, PPC

    5. Ask them to buy in your emails gently. Get testimonials
    6. A/B test.
    7. Add video or other sales material to see which works best.
    8. Improve conversions over time ie heatmaps etc

Pricing depends on your value eg if you have a 100% cure for cancer, you can pretty much charge what you like. What value does your membership provide? if you can show your value is $100/mth, charging $50 is no problem, if you value is $1,000/mth charge anythings less is a good deal.

    All the best.

    Hi,

    1. Set up a free offer and capture email addresses via a "Squeeze Page"

    2. Set your A.R. to "Single Opt-in" and add your offer page URL to
your "Thank You Page" settings within your autoresponder when you
set up your opt-in box that you add to your squeeze page.

    3. As soon as someone opts into your list via your squeeze page they'll
    instantly see your membership offer.

    4. You need to create a high quality, well constructed sales page for your
membership offer so that you can see a good conversion rate from it.

    5. You could offer a lower priced ticket offer before your membership
site offer but it all depends on your pricing structure.

As for pricing your membership site you could go for $7, $17, $47, $97
    a month.

It all depends on your testing really.

Once you have the above set up and ready to go...

...You'll want to drive some traffic to it and see what results you get
    from it.

This will tell you what you need to change, edit, tweak etc etc.

Get it out there and test it until it begs for mercy!

Don't over think it and just go out and do it.

    Hope this helps
    Gavin

I would have a front end product and then the upsell would the membership site if you haven't done a recurring membership site before I'd start off at $27 per month just to get started and get the confidence then you can always increase the price later...

  • The best way is upsell to a product that they want that is a one time payment product.

A sales funnel should always start at the end. So figure out the end goal and then work back towards the front end.

If you have a membership site, then before that you maybe want a low priced one-time item to get people spending money with you. Before that you then probably want some form of lead magnet such as a free video or report leading into the first product.

I am thinking of starting the membership site at $19 and increase the price as it grows popular

I would say not to offer a free product on your squeeze page because then all you are attracting is freebie seekers, they will download your free product and unsubscribe.

I would also suggest having a OTO (one time only offer) for a one off price for the membership, you can make back what you will lose monthly by offering affiliate products
(i.e. if your membership is $19 a month, have a OTO to join as a lifetime member for $197)
