Need Help Selling a site on Flippa. Any advice?

Hi all,

I need your advice on selling a site on flippa.

This site is on health, it has about a 1000 uniques a month, 36 unique articles on it. It is ranking page 1 on google, on 2 of the main terms, hovering around position 8.

I am too busy to do anything anything with it now, but when I used to update it regularly, it used to make money with clickbank.

Recently (this November) I put some adsense, and I made a little money (ZAR5 - I think its about $5).

How much should I sell it for? Your help is appreciated

The most important thing when selling a blog is the income. A blog that has only made $5 isn't worth much.

There are alot of factors that come into play when it comes to selling a site but revenue is definitely one of the most important. Without that you can expect maybe a few hundred dollars at best.

With 1000 uniques per month you should be able to make a few sales if you monetize the site properly.

There are many health affiliate programs that pay relatively high commissions eg Markethealth.com, Sellhealth.com etc. Once your site is making some money you could sell for alot more.

I'm in the health niche and have sold quite a few sites on Flippa. If you're interested feel free to pm me the url of your site and I can give you some advice on monetization or selling.

        Thanks Martin,

I would appreciate any input. So you reckon I should wait, monetise the site better and then sell?

I will pm you the site

It has made more than $200 in clickbank sales.

I only activated adsense because I wanted to see if it can get any clicks . . . and I dont know much about adsense.

I have sold a few sites on Flippa and only one site had a history of AdSense income. My sites sold for $500 to $1500. I think the main selling point was the original content I had on the sites.

I listed the sites for $1.00 and then put a reserve on for $1000. This allowed the bidders to determine their perceived value on my sites. And, the reserve was a price that I felt I should get. I did not list a BIN on the sites.

Make your reserve the lowest amount you are willing to sell it for. Keep your reserve unknown to the bidders. You will have some that ask for it but don't reveal that info.

If your reserve is not met, you can contact the highest bidder and either take that bid or work out something you both can agree on. And the bidding can always go over your reserve.

I think that getting AdSense income after only one month is a good selling point of your blog. And the history of the ClickBank income is also a favorable selling point.

Study some of the successful listings and craft your listing description using those techniques. Your listing description is your sales page and should convince the bidder that the blog is a great deal. It should also convey a sense of urgency.

Lessons I have learned: Bidders often wait until the last minute to bid so don't start to panic and drop your reserve. Allow enough time for your sale- I have done 3 or 5 day sales and regretted that. Go at least a week. Some set the sale for 30 days. I never tried that but will with my next sale.

This may be more than you wanted to know but I hope it helps in some way.

      Good luck on your sale!

Thanks so much for your input!

Will take it to note when I list the site. I am planning to list it for 14 days, and I will start the bidding price at $1.

Trying to study some successful sales as well

This domain is too large and won't attract many bidders. I recommend you spend some time, grow little more content and subscribers before trying to sell it.

Don't sell it at the moment... let it be there and let it earn whatever its earning from adsense.

But I think if you mention everything about the site that you mentioned here from SERPS to CB many people would be interested to buy it.
