Should I Build a List For This?

I have a site getting good traffic, but its in a niche in which people might buy once, and not need to buy for another year or 2.

Should I build a list anyways?

Yes, you could offer similar products and helpful information.

I think you should always build a list, regardless the niche you're in.
Even if they bought already, you can still stay in contact, provide more value, promote other offers (might be from a different niche they are possibly interested in) and ask them to share your content - they probably have a few friends with the same problem...
    Good luck

Yes. If for no other reason than getting more than 1 chance to sell them on the 1 product...most people that visit your salespage aren't going to buy the 1st time they are exposed to it...most people will need at least a few exposures to your salespage before they buy...

And like others have said...building a list also gives you the opportunity to promote related products to this list OR you could even find others ways to monetize this list, i.e., selling solo ads, selling ad space within the online newsletter, CPA offers, etc.

I think you are talking about a 'luxury' niche with a high ticket product

If it's the case, then you have your awesome chance to triple your earnings!

I would definitively build a list. It will be a quality buyers' list in the future.
You can sell them other related products, presell and get them ready to buy the next year ad so on...

    Good luck!

You definitely have still have to build a list. You can then down the line promote other offer related to that product to this list. Always build a list wherever possible and you will not regret it.

You should always build a list, no matter what your niche is. Not building a list means you are leaving money on the table

    Garyt hit a grandslam.

I was thinking "Always build a list".

And that's precisely what he wrote.

    Always build a list.

Certainly you should, i also have a once buy product but i will make sure that i have build the list of every buyer that buys my service, so if i had to offer some new product or promote some similar product as an affiliate i will have buyers waiting for it
Using this technique i have increased my sales by many times
