Q: Whatever Happened To Humility & Encouragement? A: It's Been Replaced With Jealousy & Entitlement

Folks,

I saw/participated in a thread earlier.

Was about some guy who made himself his first 100 beans online.

They were his beans, and he didn't want to spill'em.

Fair enough, I reckon.

But this guy got rounded on by three different types of folk...

* The ones who didn't believe him
* The ones who hung around, waiting for a fight
* Warriors who've been there/done that.

The first two groups called themselves "Warriors". However, their naivity, jealousy, insistence, and bias betrayed them.

The real Warriors answered with experience, encouragement and honesty. And without a hint of malice. They called themselves "Friends".

The point is, every new day I participate in this forum...well, it just reinforces which side of the fence I sit on, is all.

Tsk.

Steve

      Too true, Joseph...too true.

      Thanks,

And then there were some of us who took note
of who posted what and reached a conclusion
that we will never do business of any sort with
at least one, if not two of those groups.

Yes, every post you make leaves an impression
and it isn't always a good impression.

I am very sorry my thread upset so many people. I had seen a lot of people open "first sale / first $ X day" threads that did nothing but helped them share their excitement with Warriors, thanking them in the process.

That's what I had in mind and I attempted to do that. This forum has been absolutely THE reason I made any money at all. So I created a thread and posted to share my happiness and excitement with people, and to thank everyone who helped me in innumerable ways.

I mean, just check my previous posts. I've been in this for a very short period of time and made at least 10 threads, asking very newbie and (from time to time) stupid questions. Every one of them got answered by numerous people who presented different views. Every thread I made has been priceless for me. This, I wanted to thank for.

Instead, I got a load of feces splashed on my face, people claiming I was bragging, I was not a Warrior, I was lying, etc... Of course, my thread was "understood" by many people as well, and I thank them for that. After some time eating all what was thrown at me I got annoyed and challenged some guy to a bet, yes it was stupid, but he was calling me a liar, saying that "according to his experience there was a 99% chance that everything I said were big, big lies". This got on to my nerves, I apologize for that.

I got all this because I couldn't reveal the methods I had been using. But who would? I can't just answer the question "how did you make it". I can, however, gladly answer very specific questions provided it wouldn't kill my earnings. I did that gladly in many PM's I answered.

I am getting help from people, and I am providing help to people; in specific ways (for example, I just posted a great way of cloaking affiliate links in Wordpress blogs, things like that). But I never tried to get help by asking "hey, how did you do it? reveal your methods"; neither am I going to help people who think I will just hand them the methods I am using.

Again I apologize for my childishness late in the thread. I hope there are no hard feelings against me.

    Regards

Well normally I'd suggest, if people really want your methods that bad you could always package it up as a step-by-step guide and sell it as your own product. But in this case, I think someone has already sold a product called the "annihilator method" (I could be wrong but I seem to remember Frank Kern being involved in something by that name pre-Mass Control).. lol

Seriously though, congrats on finding a method that works for you.

And like others I use my real name here which means my name gets attached to whatever posts I make, and those posts remain out on the net forever and forever.

What I say/write will either continue to haunt me or help me. It's a decision. So when people get nasty with you they are just stepping on their own tongues.

Think not folks? Try googling your own name.

I remember hearing about how the human resources people at many businesses are now looking at facebook and looking for posts by prospective employees. Gee, that could make or break a poster's future.

This is true. Some people seem to have no idea that the internet is their shop window, and keep it surprisingly grimey on the inside.

Well, I had seen the thread but up until now, had ignored it.

        Why?

Because from my own experience, I know how these threads turn out, and
        they're never good.

There is always somebody who either.

        1. Doesn't believe you
        2. Gets pissed because you won't share your info

        And then the wars start.

In case anybody hasn't noticed, I rarely post here anymore and even less
rarely start a thread unless I'm damn sure it won't cause a ruckus.

As for the thread in question...I have no opinion either way. The claims
may be true or not. There is no way to know for certain.

Personally, doesn't make a darn bit of difference to me either way. I've
said it before and I'll say it again...no one person's success here at this
forum is going to add to my own success one way or another. The only
thing that matters is what I do.

Everything else is just genuflecting and posturing and BS.

If the member in question has achieved those numbers, I'm happy for
him. If not, well, ultimately so what? Since he's not sharing any info, there
is nothing to lead another member down a wrong path, so what's the harm?

Ultimately, we are responsible for our own business.

That means testing out every little thing that we do and keeping what
works, improving on it if we can and getting rid of what doesn't.

If more people would do that, instead of getting into these useless fights
about "did he or didn't he?" we'd have more people actually making money
online and less people bitching about how IM doesn't work.

But maybe that philosophy just makes too much sense.

All I know is, that thread was 10 minutes of my life that I'm never going to
        get back.

Ya I have been in your shoes and I"m sorry for all the haters that are hanging around to kill someones dream or doubt there success. I think there is a lot of financial pressure on people right now and many are desperate to succeed. The best way to live is to give and to be willing to help others, I'm not saying you have to give away your method but we should all live according to the golden rule. Sure there will always be those who try to take more then they give, but we can set a higher standard for all to observe.

I didn't need to provide any proof since I was not "claiming" things, I merely wanted to share my happiness with warriors and thank those who have helped me.

You don't believe that $100, you believe I actually made $1? No problems. Then think that I am sharing my happiness because of that $1, and thanking people for that $1 I made.

Why call me a liar? It's like I am trying to make from the $100 claim.

You're right, you didn't have to provide proof
and there was no obligation to share any
      commercially sensitive information.

Sometimes it's better to hold back rather than
      to fuel the fire.
