Buying and Selling Domains

If I bought a domain to buy, maybe use, but most likely sit on and possibly sell it for more. Is going with my usual domain registrar (namecheap) a bad idea given that domains are 10$ because of built in whoisguard? Or do you typically want a whoisguard even if you dont use the domain name, just hold it?

That is up to you. Most use privacy in the whois. IF they do not want to be contacted for anything, or the niche they are in is shady or porn related. Could be a number of things but it is more of a personal choice then anything else.

Some domains I use Whoisguard and most I don't. If I'm selling a site or domain, I usually don't. Makes it easier for potential buyers to contact me.

Most websites where you can sell your domain will ask for that domain to be verified. For that to happen, one of the things you have to do is take down the whoisguard.. just until you get the domain verified. So if you plan to sell it, don`t go for the whoisguard.
