I've only tried Freelancer. I tried it twice to make sure I wasn't deceiving myself about how awful it was the first time, and after the second time I resolved not to go there again.

The problem for me was that despite selecting writers who claimed excellent English and who provided lots of perfectly written examples and testimonials, the actual work they provided for me was way poorer all round. In fact I ended up re-writing the whole lot myself, as the quality just wasn't there.

And they want you to spend forever going back and forth with requests for them to re-do it, all so that they can ask you for a great review.

Frankly, I expect it to be pretty good first time, and am prepared to ask for some amendments once, possibly twice. But that's it for me. This lot was clearly never going to be nice in a month of Sundays.

I'm not sure what the answer is. I'll be interested to see where others have found success

      Was.

Do these people think this is somehow a "clever" tactic and no-one will notice? This is as bad as the constant shills for SEOClerks.

For 90% of the jobs odesk is without a doubt the best.

Byt if you need black hot josb (craigslist posting for example) sometime odesk and elance will remove your ad andwarn you, so then freelancer.com is a good option..
