How similar can your articles be?

Hello warriors,
I'm reading a lot about article marketing lately and it seems like there are some insane warriors who write 20 articles a day.
Aside of the fact that it sounds impossible to me,
I wanted to know how similar you allow your articles to be.

I mean, if you write so much you must repeat yourself from time to time right?

Is it legit to write 3-4 very similar articles with different topics?

anyway, you get my point

Thanks,
MM

As long as your articles have around 50% of differences, there won't be much problem.

I use an article creator for some of my projects and all of them remain in googles main index after they have been approved by EZA, Goarticles etc. They are generally about 65% unique and take me about 2 minutes per 500 word article.

Also make sure your titles are unique.

2 minutes per 500 words. What is this article creator you speak of?

I use my own article creator, as I know the product inside out. There are other tools out there too but it just depends what you're comfortable with.

Two people might use the same tool. One might achieve great results, the other might achieve poor results. It's all about how the tool is used.

Don't get me wrong though, in order for me to be able to whip up unique articles within two minutes, I've first had to setup my project. That is quite time consuming but the time saved afterwards is well worth it for me.

I generally shoot for at least 40% unique content, but have found that my articles stay ranked quite well with as little as 20% unique content...obviously all the headings are as unique as possible.

As long as your article passes copyscape.com, it's fine.

Yes, it is possible MM, but
the thing is that you sacrifice quality when you
do that. And it can a very bad thing in the long run.

Hey Munk: Check this out, I just started using it myself. It's a little tricky at first but once you get the hang of it, it's pretty cool. I found it right here in the forum so....

Do you think that AP, Reuters, etc. worry about how similar their syndicated articles are?

I think it's perfectly possible to write 20 articles in a day with completely unique content and headlines. If your job is writing articles then you will get better and better at writing articles and that includes getting quicker. The amount of research that you need to do for your first article may be high, but if you carry on writing articles in the same niche then you can very quickly become an expert in a niche and bash out articles in 10 minutes or so.

Having said that, a lot of people do use article spinners to maximize the amount of articles that they can produce. There is nothing wrong with this, as long as you are careful not to sacrifice quality or readability along the way. Unfortunately, a lot of people aren't too bothered about content, or even readability, and you can see the results for your self by surfing around a few article directories.

Hmm, is this a numbers game? Shouldn't you be more concerned with the quality of articles you produce?

      Just my 2 cents.

Yes, it is a numbers game. I am a professional, and I'm doing this to make money. I take pride in what I do, and I make sure that the articles I write are of a high quality, but I'm still interested in the bottom line, and I genuinely believe that anyone who isn't bothered about the numbers is in the wrong business.

There is no general answer to the question of how many articles you will need to write to be successful - it simply depends on what you count as successful. For some people that involves paying off debts, or making enough money to pay the bills, and for others it's about buying that sports car or massive house. You are the only one that can decide!

If you're writing for SEO purposes, it is a numbers game.

IMO, if you want to write quality articles, put them on your own site, not somebody else's, and build brand authority for your site. Only write decent intro blurbs for the article directories.

there's often 10 ways to say the same thing.

Then there are the various types of articles you can write: eg lists, how-to's, informative, review style, negative, positive etc etc

Use your imagination and you'll never run out of ideas
