Buyers List with aWeber

I've got a growing email list for my site, and I've begun offering products for sale that I wrote. When someone buys them, how do I put them into a new list specifically for people who have made a purchase (without removing them from the main list)?

I assume this is something I want to do right (I think I've read that it is on here several times before).

I primarily want to do it so I can send out a separate set of follow up emails to see how they are doing with the product they just purchased.

Ideally I'd like this to happen automatically, but I really have no idea how to set this up.

Thank you!

Michael

    Hi Michael,
You should definitely keep your buyers on a separate list but the best way to create one is actually creating a product and keeping all of the buyers emails in one place... Not all of the autoresponder providers will allow you to switch your subscribers lists...

Thanks. I have the confirmation emails (and the addresses) of those who have bought my product so far.

Should I be just creating another auto responder series in aweber and manually adding those addresses in then? They are on my other list, so I think I can manually transfer them. that just seems inefficient to me, especially if I start making a lot of sales (hopefully)

It seems like the big marketers with huge lists must have this process automated somehow, right?

I used to use AWeber and I seem to remember there was a way...at least, when sending out emails, I could pick and choose which subscribers I wanted to target, based on who didn't open the previous email, certain dates, etc. There support was pretty good too, so you could either try asking them, or googling it. I'm sure someone has made a video about it...Sorry I can't offer you anymore than that! Marjorie

You can set it up automatically.

When someone buys, send them into a new list. You can also set it up so after the follow up series buyers from all products are put into one large buyers group, or keep them separate so you know who buys what.
