Non-English Speaking Warriors Conquering English Speaking Markets?

Hi, I'm from Malaysia and not so you know, we actually do have our own 'English'. What I mean is that our English is terrible. No one would probably understand what I'm saying.

But I'm still marketing to the English speaking market. Not longer ago, I just hired an American man to make a video for one of my business. Pretty good stuff.

I brough this subject up with my Ex girlfriend last night.

We were sitting, and someone who was on Britians Got Talent didn't speak English all that well.

I sat there thinking back to my conversations with the guys I outsource too.. what came to mind.. Is there really any such illness as dyslexia?

I'm beginning to think it doesn't exist and it's only an unwillingless to learn.

Maybe I'm wrong but if tousands of foreigners can learn our language, why can't someone who's lived all of their lives in an English speaking environment do the same.

Hi Interpreneur!

You are everything, but not wrong.

People are lazy. Most of your friends and people you meet every day are lazy. People also very easily believe what someone else says. If it's negative and discouraging, which are the most common cases, they usually start thinking they can't do it and fall. I'm not talking only about IM or language, this happens in every aspect of our lives.

PS: Internet marketing and learning English is definitely much easier then giving up smoking! Good luck anyway

Please tell me you're kidding.

Of course dyslexia exists, and not just because people are lazy or have an unwillingness to learn. A lot of dyslexics are hard working, motivated and intelligent, but that doesn't stop them from being dyslexic. You might as well say Stephen Hawking is lazy because he just sits on his ass all day.

I quit smoking too but I wouldn't come out with a statement like that!

Of course dyslexia exists and has absolutely nothing to do with an unwillingness to learn. I know several people with dyslexia who have worked hard to overcome the problem. My boss for instance is very bright and what we call a grafter. Some members of the staff laugh at his spelling on notices etc. others help him because we don't like the ignorance shown by those who laugh.

P.S I thought that guy on Britains Got Talent was dire and no more talented than the guy who broke wind for an act. Flawless or Diversity get my vote.

seriously, people now a days, come up with illness, as an excuse for human behavior. who would have thought, 50 yrs. ago that there is dyslexia...you know what i mean?! and now, children who are extra curious, extra hyper are being called adhd..
i mean, whats next?..

Just like Ilse I am from the Netherlands too. So dutch is my first language. I think it depends on what you want to do.

For me article marketing without oursourcing is very difficult. Sure I can write an article in english, but really "reach" peoples emotions......no
For example I have an article on Ezine. which is #2 on most read and published and my clickthrough rate is about 2%.

So at this time I am focussing on the Netherlands. Not so many buyers, but also little competition.

It's because of the lack of actions!!!

I was born in Ukraine and moved to Israel when
I was 12. It also effected my language mix.

I actually was learning Hebrew through english, while
maintaining my Russian

However, right now, I am a year in, and I think I am doing pretty gewd

I have a blog, write articles, do video and audio and everything is
in English. Somehow I fell in love with this language, I don't know why.

Nevertheless, Keep On Rocking my ENGLISH SPEAKING FRIENDS!!

for me english is 3rd language, i write articles that gets good views in ezine articles. Lots of english speaking people bought my ebook.I write my own salesletter. Heck even they listened to me speaking in the screencast

Plugin,

Well done to you. Your English is very good, despite the handicap of learning it from the Scots.

Here's a quick tip to improve things even more: Although English is reasonably universal to all English-speaking countries, there are various idiosyncrasies that don't travel well between different dialects. Therefore, asking a native of whatever country your are targeting to read over your work (even once) can help identify anything that might cause problems. I'm sure many Warriors here would offer to do it, if you didn't know anyone personally.
