I am curious about something in regards to preselling. I know it is about warming the visitor up to the final presentation. I have a few pages on my site geared towards preselling for a free report. So far, it has landed me one conversion. I want to increase the conversion rate.

I would like to hear from you what techniques have you found that worked for you in regards to preselling?

Is it personal experience, benefits, explanations that worked for you?

My ad campaigns have been converting 25 percent of all the leads I have been sending so I know the final product is doing a good job. I would like to increase it through preselling. My goal is to convert 30 to 35 percent of all the leads. (Naturally, 100 percent would be terrific.)

I figured if I could do a better job of preselling, I can increase my conversion from 25 to 30 to 35 percent but not sure how. Any advice?

    Pre-selling is all about segregating your leads and audience...

    In my experience, I start with opting leads into some autoresponder series.
    My autoresponder simply is discussing the new product, no buy links, no selling at all...

    Strictly information.

    I ask my list questions about the product, what they feel about certain things, and usually send them polls or surveys to fill out for a bonus product.

    Then I have an autoresponder send to them about three weeks before launch, letting them know that we are going to do a pre-launch for the product, yet still no links to the page... you want to build curiosity and hype.

    Then about 10 days before launch, I can send them an email that says something like:

    "The prelaunch we've been talking about..." ~ all the preparation above allows a high open rate and response rate on the links.

    I take my normal price, and give between 25%-50% off the price, as well as, offer one or two bonuses for pre-launch buyers only.

    I also use an incentive testimonial trick, where after trying the service, if they send a testimonial to us before launch they get an extra 15% off.

    Be creative.
