Need Help Warriors- With Video Site

Hello,

I just created my first website and I have videos on the site.
With so many profiles being shut down on you tube,

Can you recommend a video hosting site.

Hi Kelly,

I've just started using Amazon S3. It's not free, but is very reasonably priced and many Warriors swear by it for video hosting.

Otherwise Vimeo seems to be gaining in popularity.

I don't mind paying. I just don't want my site and autoresponders to rely on someone at youtube shutting down my site.

There is a neat Firefox plugin that does all the hard lifting for you so it works just like FTP - you upload the videos using the plugin and then it gives you the URL where your site users can access the video. Very nice to use.

You could create you own video hosting website like YouTube and use to host your videos without fear of it getting shut down by another service provider.

Many websites offer video hosting php scripts for sale and I have even noticed a few website that offer free video portal scripts. (You would just need a web host that supports the requirements of the php script.)

Having your own video hosting service website can offer many benefits including the ability to watermark the videos and/or run small (slide-up ads) on the video itself and/or place ads on the video hosting website itself.

I am not sure how much time, money, and/or effort that you want to put into this, but realistically it would only take very long to setup. If you know where to look, web hosting does not cost much compared to a potential return on investment. If you already have a web hosting package that support the minimum requirements, the video hosting service script could be installed and added to a part of your existing site using a sub-domain or a sub-directory.
