Can I make US$ 50 a day ?!

Hi there,

Well I'm an absolute newbie to IM. I am now in the process of gathering information/ learning as much as I can and will soon be starting to work on my first landing page (affiliate marketing). I leave nothing to chance and want to be fully prepared. My goal is to make at least US$ 50 a day, maybe divided over several campaigns and if possible well, US$ 50 per campaign per day?! Well maybe I'm too optimistic here

If I do find a good niche on which I work 2-3 hours each day, are these numbers realistic? As said, I'm serious, prepared and full of confidence but do you think US$ 50 a day is a realistic number if I can overcome all the errors that newbies usually make AND find a good niche?

I think it's important to set a goal and this is my goal! Am I over- optimistic?

yesterday I made about 30 dollars from adsense. I started putting adsense on my site in the middle of last month...my hope is to make 100 dollars a day within a year.

What you make is up to you. Of course you can make that much and waaay more if you work right and put some money into it.

50 dollars/day is possible and an absolutely realistic expectation.

You have a good attutide, but if your first website won't make money, then don't let it put you down! Just keep moving forward!

Thanks to all so far. This is my situation:

- I have been reading some good books on the following topics: affiliate marketing, Finding a niche, SEO, the Psychology behind buying stuff, Copywriting and words that sell.

As you can see I first wanted to be fully prepared and understand the basics of IM. As for the theory, I think I'm doing fine so far. Given these circumstances, is it very unrealistic to make US$ 50 a day if I find one or more profitable niche markets and avoid stupid mistakes? I mean, what can one expect when starting as a newbie in my situation?

I have set my goals and honestly don't believe in all the scam that says that you can make US$ 1000 a day by doing basically nothing. I consider this a real business and I'm ready to work very hard for it, working at 1 project untill it is profitable, then moving on to the next.

I started about a month ago with the same ambition. I had so much free info from these forums I thought I'd have traffic just gushing onto my website. Well my first website was my own fault as it wasn't a buying keyword, but in reality I had huge difficulty in getting traffic. I think it's down to about 5 visitors a day.. I did all the bookmarking, proper SEO, article marketing, making lenses and hubpages and wordpress/blogger blogs. I was getting 20 visitors a day or so but then live decided to can half of my indexed pages so now I get maybe 2 or 3 a day from live. I have yet to get any backlinks from Google where as I have about 50 with Live/Yahoo.

My second site is in the same bucket, but it's definitely a buying keyword and it's fresh so I have yet to criticize that one. It is doing better with about 15/day and it's a couple weeks old but again Google is really slow for me and I have no experience with getting it any ranking.

Either I'm doing something wrong or the general concept that IM is as easy as some people make it out to be is wrong. I'm sure it's my fault, but for the life of my I can't figure it out.

I'm not trying to discourage you, but I want you to see the reality that it is NOT easy by any means and getting traffic is going to be a giant learning experience and if you don't have a strong will to keep pushing forward really ask yourself if you'll keep the commitment.

If you can stick with it, then that is awesome and I really hope you can (and I can) because I can see the endless possibilities with this type of income/living. I dream about making my first sale so I can finally break past that barrier!

$50 a day is realistic but it will be a fulltime job. Earning that amount with 2 hours work per day is not going to happen until your site matures. You need to be blogging and backlink building daily, as well as creating new content, unless of course you buy traffic directly and hope it will convert into more affiliate sales.

$50 a day is realistic, but by no means are you going to reach that level with little effort and in a short period of time...especially considering you are only working on it 2 hours a day. Be prepared to spend some money, and learn...realistically your first website/landing page is NOT going to make you any money (Or VERY little), see your first campaign as a learning one.

Realistically you need to spend about a year marketing and tweaking before you will start making decent money...give yourself fair chance...

You sound fairly well prepared though, you one step ahead of the games already!

$50 a day is totally down to earth.

With that said, when I first stated I was really excited because I had
made $33 in a single month (not a day), then next month did $84,
and next month $98 and so on so forth. Now, I'm making around $560
a month from a single site.

So, my point is, you can make $50 bucks a day, but expect some work
involved, and not just a couple of hours a day, but a lot of hours a day.
Since you are a newbie, you need to put plenty of hours a day at first,
but then gradually investing less time as what ever you are doing gets
older.

Today, I work about 2 hours a week on this site and it puts out $500 a
month, I have 2 other sites putting another $400 and $200ish, so within
time, if I keep doing it all over again I'll get to a point of having 10 sites
all pulling $900 or so a month.

Now, if you ask me, how long has it taken you to do this, I will tell you:

I've been doing it for almost 9 months, but the best part of this is that
is total passive income. I just spend 10 bucks a month on little stuff
here and there.

Another point, I created my own product on how to make $300 a month
from a single site in 3 months...and this is where my money is. It
gives me about $1400 a month and its totally on auto pilot. I just
invest about 10 mins every other day to check if I have emails from
my customers. Create your product and this might be the key to easy
$50 a day.

Just a pointer here from my own experience. If you still have a job,
do not quit until you are making the same or more money per month
online than what you are making now.

Not to hijack the thread but one trick I found with Google is to place a post at the very bottom of my page ... including a link back to Google with a search for my particular keywords and even a limiter to keep the results on my site. Thus I would do a search on Google and use site:mysite.com or something similar and copy the URL and on the very bottom of my page, under the bottom ads, under my copyright information and waaaaaaaaaaay down at the bottom, I will add a little "for more information about "inmycasemypersonalworkismyselectedkeywords" click here.

It gets Google bots all over my site. Additionally, the use of site maps for Google and Yahoo has helped a lot with my page rankings.

Like the OP, I sell other people's products and not my own but adsense was just not making me any money at all with my regular readers. I switched to some products that were more relevant to my readers ... and oddly enough, tragically losing some of my sites helped to increase my business some as well.

I deal with a number of niches but all with my real name. On my last site I had them all combined and it did not work well ... but I lost that site on a buddy deal and had to rebuild.

I separated the niches on my new site, targeted the ads towards the people that would read those sections, added my link at the bottom of the page and the site was scanned by Google Bots the very first day. Within two days my name (which I have potential clients search) was in the number three spot on Google. Not very impressive until you consider that while only two people in the world have that name, it is also the same as the name of a town in England and there are about a half million records returned for a search of it. Day three, my new site took the place of my old site at page one and I am currently bouncing between pages eight and ten for a keyword with over 36 million competitors.

Like the second poster, I do not get much organic traffic after only a month with my site ... maybe twenty or so a day to each section. I do have a number of regular readers and show spikes in traffic with new posts.

Am I at fifty bucks a day yet? Not yet but I will be before too long I hope. Right now I would be ecstatic with a hundred bucks a week LOL Is it possible though? Yes, if you are willing to work at it to make it happen ... then like you said, rinse and repeat and make it happen again. When you are making a hundred bucks a day, you can begin outsourcing and do it twice a day ... a couple of hundred bucks a day.

You have already gotten started though and for many people, that is the hardest part of all! Keep at it and you will succeed!

Yes, of course you can make at least $50,if not even more in a day ..However, it will take diligent work!

It may not seem to be real easy at all in the beginning, but it will become a lot easier as time goes by ya know?

Of course it's possible! You can make that and then some but be prepared. It might take a while (but it might not). Too often people get discouraged and give up but you WILL make that amount if you don't give up.

IMO if you want to try and make money from adsense then you are going down the wrong route. I have been trying to make money online for years and I still dont make nearly enough. BUT I think I am nearly there because i have finally got a the pieces of knowledge ive learned through failing together into a strategy that could well work. Keep looking in the WSO forum for new ideas and TRY THEM, dont think too hard about them, just get on and do them and pick it up as you go along. Clickbank products make you normally about $20-30 dollars per sale. How many adsense clicks would that be in comparison? - far too many is the answer. Angela's WSO is the first thing you want! 50 dollars a day is nothing and can be achieved rather quickly. It will take action, testing, and the right mindset

If you have a good plan to follow and act on building your business and getting better everyday there is no limit to the amount of money you can make online with affiliate marketing,

Hell yes, $50 a day is very possible. But it will still take effort and the beginning might be slow to gain momentum.
