Default ebay sucks

For this month, so far, I have 1197 clicks on ebay but made only 19.40 dollars. On the other hand, google's adsense had 1662 clicks and made 415.92 dollars.

Is this normal for ebay? I just started doing this last month so I don't know. Should I even bother with ebay? what other options do I have?

You just have to find the right nitch with ebay. Theres too much competition. I have better luck with my amazon store than I do with ebay.

It will depend on your keyword targeting. It sounds like you've identified better Adsense keywords than eBay ones.

One common mistake I see with people new to eBay Partner Network (EPN) is to try to target high dollar items (cars, boats) or very popular items (iPods, LCD TVs, etc). This doesn't usually do so well. It's better to target mid to low priced items and take a discounters approach to promoting them.

No, just plain old SEO to content/review sites that have eBay Partner Network affiliate links and banners on them.

I was averaging over $1/click. I was targeting cheap items and making money from those acru's ($40 per new user). I thought I was pretty clever about my strategy... until I got banned. So maybe you don't want to follow my advice

having a stellar month myself w/ ePN - i like helping people find what they are looking for and my niche sites do just that. it's fun too. clicks are one thing - but what kind of visitors are you seeing for those dollars? my only luck w/ adsense came w/ crazy high traffic (40,000/month), but w/ ePN i make money on sites with significantly less traffic (~500/mo). It's a matter of targeted traffic, people coming to my ePN sites are in the buy mode.

getting that many clicks I would definatly find some affiliate programs to promote, or if your not into that kind of thing than maybe amazon would be better than ebay.
