Hi,

I have a pure affiliate website that earns quite a lot - up to $1700 per week promoting one product. All organic traffic and all unique content.

I just want to hear with some professionals how much a website like this could sell for at Flippa?

I am itching to pay off my debt

about 6-10 months income you could sell it for.

40,000 is the lowest amount i would sell it for if that 1700 a week is pure profit.

Also looked at some of your old threads. Love how the guy making 1700 a week is using trademark names in URLs

Oh, you mean the way you want to do in this thread?

@OP - get a longer earning history before selling. People aren't going to risk a lot of money for a site that just started earning.

That was my point. All the people, as well as you, jumping on the bandwagon and saying EMD's will get you sued. Yet the guy making actual money is doing it.

im not wise enough in this field to make statements yet, however I do feel social proof, lack of knowledge, paranoid are making people say stuff that isnt true, like everything in life

If this thread were about trademarked domain names and he asked how much could he get for his trademarked domain name website, I would have told him that I wouldn't pay a dime for a trademarked domain name, no matter how much it was making, because you can get a cease and desist at any time.

Stop hijacking other people's threads. Buy as many trademarked domains as you wish. No one cares.

Wow that's serious income. You'll need to prove your income in the long term so I'd give it 6 months before listing it for sale. Use your Google analytics account to prove the number of visitors that you are getting too. 40,000 sounds little low to me as a sale price I'd say 50-60,000.

It depends on so many different factors that it would be impossible for anyone to give you an accurate estimate without knowing the url (which I don't recommend you post) and all the details you would be giving a potential buyer - exact earnings per month, traffic per month, where traffic is coming from etc.

If you can keep up $1700 per week for 6-12 months then your site will be worth a decent amount but unfortunately without earnings history it may not even make $10000. A brand new site could be earning $1700 one week and $170 the next and most buyers know this. Is the product you are promoting one that will be popular long term? Will you be able to sustain your current level of traffic?

I do not have my own product no.I just got lucky finding the right affiliate product that sells like hotcakes.I do not use trademark domains(i did way back in my IM days) now i use EMD keyword domains mostly.

And a little tips : Don't promote $17 products.Go for products that pays over $50 per sale.

The rest of the story is rather familiar..single mom finally cracks the code bla blaThere is actually no code. It's about not giving up,love what you do and learn from mistakes.

I will consider creating a WSO since people are interested in how i do this.I did not expect this response to my treat.

It sounds like you just made a squeeze page for someones product? Or is it a review sniper site?

Shoot.... i wouldn't even sell it. I'd get a job and have a dual income to pay off the debt. You may want to get the expertise of an online business valuator to see what they have to say.

    CPA?

Grats, that's impressive seeing that the principle is really astonishingly simple. You must have found a hot product with some weak competition or some really solid way to rank it.

Multiply your yearly revenue by 2 and that is how much you should sell the website for

If you have a site that makes 1,700 pm without much work, it would be foolish to sell it at all. The rates in flippa (around 10 times revenue) works for sites that take some efforts to maintain and not without much traffic. Nobody would sell sites that make good profit unless one expect it to run into some issues in the near future. It makes sense to keep it, may be you can even increase it and keep generating good money for a long time.

If the earning is steady over a period of time, it may sell at 8 or 10X to the monthly profit.

But of course if the site has just started making, the multiplier would be much less.

Having a passive income is tastier than getting paid for a massive profit. I go for improving the site (if there's still be) and keep it as long as it is earning in a legal way (or illegal if not caught? lol)

The issue here is the word "steady". What in IM, if at all...is "steady"?

A particular diet supplement or product, which I think this is about, is hardly what I could call a "steady" product. In many cases it's those products mentioned on whatever daytime shows by Oprah...flavor of the month....**** Berry, Colon Cleanse, Green Coffee, XYZ "lose weight miracle product"...where in two months no-one might give a hoot anymore since ANOTHER product will be the new craze.

So..any potential buyer for the site/domain if they're serious would need to take this into account...worse even that the domain (as it seems) contains a trademarked name.

My own experience: You NEED TO show at least several months of income (normally six) unless you get very lucky with a buyer which buys based on revenue of say two months only...this will be VERY difficult. And then buyer would need to be convinced that the product may still be hot in two months, 5 months, 12 months....IN THIS NICHE??...based on one particular product. All those things need to be factored in there...

I love seeing success stories. It always motivates me to work harder.

After someone creates a post about their success, there are always 20+ posts of people asking how. The OP usually has a myriad of answers, but the one constant is always "never give up".

Yearly income x 2 is about what you should be looking for, however, you will have to prove how sustainable that level of income is.

But why would you sell when it's making $1,700 a week? Keep growing your business!

Depends, the newer the site the less you get no matter how well it earns. First year you can bank 6-10 months, 2-3 years profits you can bank 12+ months, 5 years profits you can easily bank 48+ months.
