Hostgator Hosting, An Alternative Option Please

Can anyone suggest an alternative hosting company to Hostgator.
I currently get all my clients to open accounts with Hostgator but in the last 12 months the service from them has dramatically gone down hill.
What I am looking for is a hosting company that is either US or UK based. Has 24/7, 7 days a week phone support.
It also has to allow sign ups the option to pay monthly and it has an affiliate program that I can join.
Any suggestions will be most welcome.
