Feeling good about the products you sale

How many members here could tell me with a straight face that their product they promote as an affiliate give something to the consumer of value.

After being an online marketer for almost 9 years I realized later that the stuff I sold, never made me feel good about myself, didn't contribute and just was part of my "quick money" mindset.

If anyone here sell something of value, I'm willing to listen. Most stuff online for example are just junk, unless it's tangible.

Like in 80% of the make money online things and ebooks. But that is from my experience, and I know everyone can't agree with me.

Survey for cash? MLM programs, BS over bs. (my opinion again)

I will never promote something like these two just to make "just" money again, unless I feel it lives up to the "hype" in their pitch, I know some of you don't share my view on this. But that's okay, too.

It's important to me to contribute to peoples life and not being part of a downward in societies built on our own needs and being some kind of the image of money-celeb flash-and-cash = Happiness and being a worthy person. (not my formula but the formula put out there from media today)

So, lets see what members here have to tell for Product+Value. I've yet to come across anything from this subject here in a long time, and it is an important topic that we could discuss often.

Peace out.

Johan "Magic Johnson"

P.S. My bad, Terrible spelling error in headline "sold" or "sell", it's not "sale" but
I don't know how to change it. ;-((

    Hi Johan,
You make a good point here.

I have seen some terrible stuff promoted by the 'copy and paste to my list' brigade, and wonder if the person promoting it would actually recommend it face to face - the xample you give of survey sites is a common one.

The first product I created was my motivational book, you can see it via my sig link.

I feel great about selling it, because it genuinely contains the theories I have used to set me on some great adventures in my life, and I have no doubt that it gives value to anyone that reads it.

So, how far would I go down the road of promoting something I didn't believe in?
Well, let's face it, business is business, and internet marketing at the end of the day is about making sales.

if you are, for example, promoting a product via clickbank, you know the refund guarantee is rock solid, so someone can always get their money back.

But, and it's a subject in my book, integrity always matters in my view.

    my 2 penneth,
    Gordon

I have never and will never promote someone elses make money online ebook or program simply because ive been there and done that myself and so why should i sell someone else's product and only get 75% and maybe have not even read it prior. I could easily just create my own and get 100% of the satisfaction knowing its solid information and if it isnt then im the one who will take the blame and suffer the concequences.

That being said i tend to try out most of the things i promote, but then some of them are just not feasable to try before i promote which is annoying.

At the end of the day though i like being able to sleep well and know that i have actually made money and helped people to get what they wanted too.

I feel alike, and I will add to my own story that, there are no urges for me to promote less than "worthy" products to some market. Those that do this has a 'short seight view on success' and I bet they never could make a darn big business online or offline.

I can't sell unworthy products for years thinking I could take it to the next level, after a while people will stop buying from me after a while and they find out by word of mouth that I'm selling just "garbage" and that's a lot like stealing.

I ones bought a product that promised the word. It only had 5 pages with 16 points text. I asked for a refund. I'm not as mad for the money as I am for the time wasted on these sales letters, products and general "gospel" and nothing come out of the promises.

It's much smarter to create an product we could be proud with and of it and promote it and see joy, help out and also it will spread by word of mouth, and could even get free press in news by selling something of true value.

Why ever sell something just to make money? I find it unhealthy and nore rational at all.

      Just 2 cents of worth.

I agree, I have bought some of those bad products (and got a refund) and I wouldn't wish that on anyone. It is hard to write convincingly about something that I know isn't good. In addition, a good product sells itself!

There are no products that I promote that I do not already own, or that are being released from a trusted source. I have been down the road of buying junk, just because the sales letter had the emotional ties that led me down the path they wanted. Just to find out that is was outdated, old school or just a waste of time.

You sound like an honest salesman. I been offered a lot of MLM stuff to sell because others thought I might make a good "downline" but they didn't know that I can best sell something that makes me feel good inside.
If I don't like exercising then why should I promote the sixpack abs affiliate? My first few affiliate sales were from promoting "make money" but honestly I didn't "feel right" about it. Thanks for the post! Magic Johnson
