Default What's Your Thoughts on This Ezines Issue ?

A couple days ago I wrote some articles for ezines and found out today they were approved.
I had trouble during the submission process...having to click twice and when I looked at them after they were approved the wrong bio was on them.

So I decided to resubmit. To my surprise when I was looking on Google for a related article I saw the the articles I wrote for ezines were on page 1 and 2 of google. Of course the URL was dead since I had resubmitted them.

I did not realize ezine articles were indexed so fast or I may have left them with the wrong bio box.

Anyway since the articles were resubmitted..any chance they will climb back up on Google and the ones with the dead URLs will go away or will it be considered repeat content?

well they should climb back up, to the same spot? can't answer that, google seems to index new content quite highly, and then applies what it needs, if you throw a couple of (decent) backlinks at the article, you shouldn't have issues getting it back up in the rankings again.

Depends on your competition, how you write, what niche the article is in, what keywords they were ranked for, how many backlinks you have, whether or not they were already syndicated anywhere, if they are on your website as well, if you submitted them elsewhere, if Google sees the dead link before it is reapproved...

You just never know unless you are seriously working at ranking those particular articles if they will reappear as high or higher.

Good luck!

Allen

What happens if Google sees the dead link? It drops it? Then is the new link penalized for same title?
