Word Press Sales Letter - No leakage

I know that a lot of us warriors use wordpress for nearly anything. Recently I came across some sales letter templates that stop traffic leakage dead on its tracks.

I set one up here http://explainedtoday.info

While I have nothing to do with this website: Free WordPress Sales Page Theme - Build Your Sales Letters and Affiliate Landing Pages with WordPress! I figured some of you could use some wordpress free sales letter themes.

Since the visitor has only 2 actions to take on a sales letter, either leave or buy, this comes in handy for me and hopefully for you too.

    G`day G,

nice and clean, I`m sure you know it`s a WSO ... nice package

Your example site ... just wondering ... as the site claims to be
putting reviews etc up, when you want to put links to them, what
    do you do?

Or would you have setup differently if you`re not actually putting
these reviews up here (as it`s just an example site) ... I guess I`m
asking what page setup options are included?

    As you didn`t have a buy button ... I chose option 1

My MiniSitePress Theme does this as well, but with a few changes. For example, you can easily add pages as part of the navbar, which displays at the bottom of the page.

If you want zero leakage.....just use a little plugin called pageMash that hides pages in WordPress in like 2 clicks.

I still see too many WordPress users trying to use WP this way sticking to the idea that you need to "blog" with WP and use POSTS. I think the easiest way to run WP sites with themes like this is using PAGES.

The key is to use WP like a CMS and to quit limiting it to just another "blogging" solution. WordPress is definitely taking BIG steps toward becoming a complete CMS, a big step from it's days as merely a option for "bloggers" only.

YiKeS: No idea it was being sold here. This is just the front page to something a lot bigger I have behind it

oortcloud: I thought so too. Wish I would have come up with it since it is not me website. I just found it one day and I figured a few warrior could use it.

Minisite Nerd: Yes, Pages is how I use it too. Great platform to manage a ton of landing pages.

point having a massive "backend" if noone can get to it .. .. what
options does the Theme give to link to the other pages?

I use WP as a CMS as well.. however, I do use posts as well as pages (although from the end user it looks like a normal web site). I also set up sites with numerous isolated reivews - I direct traffic to individual review pages on my site that have no direct links to any other page on the site besides the tyipcal privacy policy, etc. I leave my home page generic, and again no direct links to anywhere else on my site. It works out pretty good, as it let's me build the equiv of numerous 'mini sites' all on one domain and one wordpress install, yet keeps them all isolated from each other from the end-users perspective. When I end up with a review that generates a lot of sales, I will break it off to it's own domain and concentrate on it more.

wordpress rocks once you figure out how to make your own templates!!

I'm a big believer in zero leakage as well. Users of my theme report increased clickthroughs and sales and are quite happy.

    YiKeS: Hello my friend.

Yes, people can get to it - it is all how you drive traffic to it, mainly ppc.

To answer your question, yes, you can make any link you want to other pages just like if you were using regular html.

If you need to have a 'website' instead, you might need another template that better suits your need.

I am quite happy with the landing pages being created on wordpress using these templates because it gives the user 2 choices, either take the action I want them to or click the big red X

Wow! I think this is the first time a Warrior forum thread has been started related to one of my products. I am flattered.

So far, the Free WP Blank Canvas Sales Page theme has been very successful.

I really appreciate all the kind words related to the theme.

If all you want is a salespage with not just grab an WYSIWYG editor, a model of an existing salespage and replace text with your one? Much easier.

Obviously if the template for the salespage is unique for the site from which you grab it You shouldn't rip it off. However most salespage templates are not copyrighted by anyone and they're up for grabs.

Jason Keith: Your themes came in REALLY handy as all I have to do to create a new landing page is just to 'create a new page' within WP.

    Thanks for it!

I was just going to post about Artisteer Dawg. Just create a one column theme and it will work great for a sales/squeeze page with any header you want. Also, there'll bel a menu bar with links to pages so you can grow and deep link the site.....works great for SEO!
