Goarticles better than Ezine...??? Help...

I am a newbie. i have submitted articles to both Go and Ez. The Ez are doing ok but the Goarticles go right to the first page on google and two go from the 1st to the 4rth position. With or without using quotes. In short, I have WAY BETTER luck with Goarticles... This is contrary to everything I read here. (Which is awesome by the way...) Can anyone explain this to me?

Actually, Angela Edwards sent info out to her list just recently stating much the same thing, and I think is currently running a free wso regarding marketing through GA - could be wrong though.

I'm going to give them a shot again myself.

If you google debt free christian living without quotes as well as guide to christian sex you will see my two goarticles. I have 3 or 4 others on the 2nd page. What I don't understand is what I did right on those articles and not with others I wrote!!?? I like goarticles as they post right away. I just hate to use it as you guys all say to use ezine!! You all know far more than me. Even with these good ranking I have had zero sales... I'm going to keep plugging away...

GA is making somewhat of a comeback.

Google is dancing around with a lot of directories right now.

    Keep watching!

Yes, I do have a WSO (which was also an email to my list) letting them know that when using backlinks, GoArticles responds faster and better than EZA. Sure, EZA articles often rank on their own. But I have run SEVERAL "split tests" by doing backlinks to an article on GA and the same article on EZA and I have found, every time, that GoArticles articles move more quickly and take a much higher spot in Google than EZA articles do.

It's an easy thing to test. Simply pick one article on EZA for a particular keyword and one on GoArticles for the same keyword. Do a backlink campaign to both. See where each of them are in a week.

Yes, GoArticles is doing better right now that EZA in terms of showing up on the Google SERPs. I recently posted an article at GoArticles and it was on page one for one of my keywords within HOURS! I was flabbergasted!

Angela offers a free pdf about making money wherein she outlines the exact method using article marketing, GoArticles.com and her backlinking service (which is AWESOME BTW!). The pdf doesn't seem to actually have a title, but if you can't find it, send me a PM and I'll send it to you (it has giveaway rights).

You guys don't forget that you have done this with a relative few articles in an even smaller amount of niches. I have a hard time believing that in most cases, EZA would get whooped by GoArticles.

There are a lot of directories out there that sometimes get better rankings than EZA, but I am in the SERPs all day long and EZA is frickin EVERYWHERE in the SERPs.

Of course, a clever backlinking campaign can, and will, change everything. :-)

Yeah, that's what I am talking about, Allen. With backlinks, GoArticles responds better. I am not the ONLY one who says so. I can't seem to find it, but remember that thread about the guy who got to Page One of Google in one day? He was using GoArticles for that, as well. The poster's name was Michael something...

I must be missing something - I've looked for both without quotes and don't see those articles. They're no.1 with quotes, but with less than 1000 results there's no way they wouldn't be ranked on page 1 no matter what directory you submitted them to.

I am pretty sure that GA was a PR5 site but now see that it is PR6, just like EZA. In my experience, GA has been much harder to rank for unless you use a slew of high ranking backlinks and maintain it.

You two may be in different countries and that's why you're each seeing different results. Perhaps???? Just a thought. I don't know what country jklsr55 is in.

It's because you are seeing your own "personalized search". Always check your rankings through a proxy, as this will keep your results from being skewed. Here is a good one:

I did check with a proxy before posting because I assumed America, and I didn't see those articles in Google (on page 1 anyway). I know the UK Google.com does throw up different results.

No sales. How many views have your articles gotten? Out of curiosity I plugged your phrases in Google's keyword tool and it doesn't look like anyone is searching for these particular phrases. For future articles try using longtail keyword phrases that get a fair number of monthly searches. This will help your articles get more visits, and hopefully convert to sales for you.

A couple of quick notes as I'm working on finishing up the 4th installment for the Article Marketing Visitor Superiority thread:

1 - Goarticles responds extremely well to backlinks - Angela has confirmed this alog with others.

2 - Ezinearticles.com also responds well but with a bit of lag time

3 - Goarticles.com has instant approval where EZA has an extended waiting period

4 - Your article can rank for both sites but I believe that EZA has the longer sticking power based on other internal factors.

5 - Instead of deciding which site is better why not use them both to your advantage. Using the same title and similar articles you can have a "Doublemint Gum" effect.

One caveat to the above notes - I personally love when I see a an article ranking in the search engines that is on Goarticles.com because I then know I can write a similar article and sbmit it to EZA which will replace the Goarticles.com article.

I have to agree with the others... I don't see those articles in quotes.

It would be nice to have an alternative to Ezines though. I REALLY love them but their 1% keyword rule is somewhat annoying.

You've got a lot of good points Tim and you're probably right; people might want to submit to both. However, I did do a "split test" of a Goarticles article and an EZA article (same article) and did backlinks to both. The Goarticles article got to Page One rather quickly, even though there are millions of competing sites. The EZA article has NEVER gotten to Page One and certainly didn't "replace" the GoArticles article, which still sits at #2 out of 11 million.

I'm also seeing better results with Articlesbase.com vs EZA.

EZA is getting rather picky about what subjects they will still accept. I submitted four articles to EZA and all were rejected - no explanation. It took a few emails to get the full story.

EZA is still the 800 pound gorilla, though.

GoArticles and EZA are both great - and as others have said, with backlinks get even better... but really - limiting yourself to only two directories is a bit scary isn't it? I'd prefer to submit to both, and more besides...
