I have an affiliate link, my goal is $1500/month...what actionable advice would you suggest?

So far, my online money making ventures have involved selling my eBooks from my own website and from Kindle, although most of my sales came from Kindle. I've also done a lot of selling on eBay.

I've been considering getting into affiliate marketing for a while now, but I just never knew what to promote. Therefore, I've held off on getting started.

Anyway, I just realized that there is a certain product that I've been using personally for the last year that has nothing to do with the "make money online niche", and they have an affiliate program. It was a no-brainer to immediately sign up for it!

So I've read a lot about list-building and basically all of the other main topics on this forum, and I have several opt-in forms all over my website. However, I never really had a plan as to what to do with my list (it's only got about 75 - 80 members on it right now, and I've been very disassociated with them because I really never had any products to promote).

Plus, people who signed up for my list thus far really did not sign up with the idea that they would be getting this particular product pitched to them.

So my current website aside (which probably isn't the best platform to achieve my $1500/month goal), I'm thinking that I will essentially start from scratch in promoting this product.

What would you recommend be the actionable steps that I take.

I have $5000 in my savings in case I wanted to advertise, but I want to make sure that I know what I'm doing before I p*ss it away on PPC or whatever.

So how would you recommend promoting this product from "scratch" assuming you had no following whatsoever?
