How long does it take to add subtitles to marketing videos?

First post...excited to be part of the Warrior Forum =)

I have about 75 minutes total of footage (1:30 long, 50 separate video files). The videos are all ready to go, cropped, sound edited, yada yada..

We want to add simple, easy to read, clear subtitles to the bottom. We already have the script written out for each video. We are looking to hire a freelancer to do this but are not sure of a normal cost to do this? Specifically, anyone have an idea how many hours this should take?

    If you intend publishing the videos on youtube, Youtube generates subtitles automatically and you don't need to bother bro.

      Yea he's right dont bother with all the difficulties just put it on youtube an they will generate you a subtitles automatically ! just trust me its not worth the time.

        Okay, thanks. However, I don't plan to use youtube. It is a bit more important for me to have it done, look the way I want, and work with a different video hosting service than youtube. Appreciate the info though...didn't even know about the youtube cc stuff. That's pretty awesome that it does that.

        So...anyone else have an idea of how long it would take?

    How many words are in the script? That would probably give people a better indication of how long it will take.
