To-Do List you Recommend

I'm a bit of a messy organizer and was wondering what To-Do list you guys recommend? I'm not good with notebooks and loose leaf paper, but lets just say reminders on IOS isn't all that great! And keeping track of certain tasks on my website, is making it kinda hard..lol

Ha - kind of ironic - but I just read a part in Good to Great that talks about to-do lists...and how...really...you probably need a not to do list.

    Just kind of ironic.

Personally I'm organized by about 20 sticky notes on my computer monitors and a dry erase board above my head.

And I have long term goals (monthly+), short term goals (weekly), and daily. I write my daily ones down the day prior....they all link into my weekly goals which link into my long term.

paper and pencils are enough for personal use, you can list work items for today every morning, and begin your work according to the list, mark the item as complete after you finish one work item.

It is simple, and you don't need to find software programs and learn to use them.

        I use WorkFlowy

Love it - I have it on all my laptops, phones, iPad, and android tablet.
Very simple and user friendly but I find it very effective, and I don't start or end my day without it!

        Good luck!

The standard yellow-paper and pen method.

Write down everything I need to do before I'm off to bed

    Works like a charm

Replicon is one such tool that can manage the things in the right manner giving out the end result with high level of perfection. More specifically with managing the to-do the emails notifications, priority setting of the to-dos, time allocation and tracking, everything is being done up in a smooth and significant fashion. Have a look to the same in the signature below.

Nothing works better than a whiteboard in my experience.

It's all about brain dumping. Writing down everything you want to achieve in a 30 day period has worked wonders for me. I simply brain dump all important tasks out onto the whiteboard. Could be 30 - 40 things.

I then setup a daily schedule where I have 3 primary tasks to complete, and 3 secondary tasks. Looking at all the tasks I dumped out onto the whiteboard for that month, I pick out 3 Important tasks and 3 secondary tasks to complete daily.

That's it. Every day, no matter what, I complete the 3 most important tasks before anything else gets done. If I have time, I then attack the secondary tasks, but it's never a bad day at the office once I complete my 3 primary tasks. I know the power of compounding, so 3 important tasks completed daily is a lot more powerful than you may logically think.

As the days and weeks go by you'll see all the tasks you brain dumped onto the whiteboard disappear. This is great for motivation. Most people falsely believe they have to work their asses off every day getting as many things done as possible. But I guarantee that following the above method and making damn sure your 3 primary tasks are completed every day will bring you closer to your goals due to compounding. Little by little your business will consistently grow. Consistency is the key here.

It also helps to have a figure in mind as an end goal for your 30 day plan, or however long your plan is. Like 1000 subscribers and 1000 dollars for example. Having an end goal to strive for before you dump all your tasks onto the whiteboard will help you focus on what the most important tasks are that directly bring you results.

The reason why a whiteboard works better than anything else is, because you have everything right in front of you. Having to log into a website, or open up notepad, or looking on your phone is nowhere near as powerful as having everything you're working on right in front of you. Even the fact that you have to open up a program to check on your to-do list is counterproductive. Out of sight, out of mind. If it aint in front of you at all times you can very easily go off on a tangent and waste hours before you realize where your focus should be.

Get a damn whiteboard. A big one.

    Declan.
