Do you Sell through a Blog Or Direct Mail?

Hey there warriors!

I have recently been experimenting with selling via my Blog, as opposed to direct mailing as I have heard plenty of buzz about building better relationships through blogs etc.

So currently my funnel would look like this:
Opt in-->>Email autoresponder sequence sent to subscriber to link to blog page-->>Blog Page presells a product or service-->> subscriber buys it.

Do you think its over complicating the process and should I just stick with doing promos through my emails?

What have you guys done?

    I send my list back through my site also. My main reason is because i cant put direct affiliate links in my emails, but i think sending back to your blog might actually warm them up into buyers anyways.

      Right its a bit of a pain when your Autorepsonder doesnt allow affiliate links.

      I dont have that problem though!

      I just think to myself "what would I like to do if I was the prospect" and half of me says that I want to just see the offer, and the other half says that I want to read a story, a real person has written to get me to buy!

    Everything I have ever done has been generated online. However I always considered dabbling in Direct Mail. However, as I rebuild my business I am going to stick with what I know.

    It allowed me to build a huge business before and will help me build that business again.

      Stick to one method, and preferably one that you know!

          I have actually made money with both, however the Blog takes a bit more time (because you have to manage more things, comments etc) so it takes longer to get results.

          And I meant I started making money when I started doing what I knew. B2B Marketing.
