A Simple tip to get more clicks in your emails

Hi all

Thought I would share something that has worked well for me and I know it will help you too.

If you are building any type of email list then you will know that email marketing is what you need to focus on if you want to sell any product or service via email.

Sending emails is just part of it though, the other part is actually getting people over to the actual page or destination that you want them to go to.

There are two things that really matter when it comes to email marketing.

Open rate and click through rate.

Your open rate is the number of people that actually open your email.

Your click through rate is the number of people that actually click a link within your email.

Getting people to open your email is fairly straight forward but getting people to actually click a link within your email is a lot harder.

What I'm now going to give you is a really cool tip on how to get more people clicking your links within your emails because the bottom line is the more clicks you can generate within your emails the more money you will make.

I will warn you this is very simple yet it works like gangbusters.

I have been using this tactic in a lot of my emails over the last few months and I have often doubled my click through rate.

Ok here goes.

Step #1

Create your email subject line as normal.

Step #2

When you create your link in your email that you want your readers to click on make the link a hyper link and name the hyper link exactly the same as your email subject line.

The reason why this works so well is because if somebody opened your email it was because they liked the sound of your email so if you then use the same text for the hyper link then you stand a much higher chance of getting that person to click as well.

Here's an example:

If your subject line was "7 new exercises that burn belly fat"
Your clickable hyper link would be:

===>> 7 new exercises that burn belly fat

Or

===>> Click here for 7 New Exercises that Burn Belly Fat

Next time you send out an email try it, it works really well and I have seen a 10, 20, even 50% increase sometimes in my click through rate when I do this.

Sometimes you may not be able to use the exact same text as your subject line but use it when you can because it certainly works and will help you to generate way more clicks in your emails.

Bonus Tip

I usually include a link 3 times within the email. (Not every time but a lot of the time). This gives all 3 types of your readers 3 options of clicking through.

You have your:

Instant clickers

Scanners and clickers

People that like to read every last word then click

I like to include a link in the middle, at the end and then one on the PS section.

I hope you liked this simple little email trick it certainly works

    Paul,

You've gotten my thanks for this information.
I also think that using your method can give
one a gauge of just how captivating the email
    subject line is.

Do you try to duplicate this when sending out
emails in plain text? Or do you strictly use
    HTML email?

Beautiful tips, Paul! Thank you very much. I send emails out to a list of over 5k regularly and my open/click rates are something around 20%/5%. Not great stuff if you ask me.

It's something you really need to test yourself as every ones list reacts slightly different to different things

It also depends on what niche you are in. Think about what the your niches biggest problems, these are how you identify their "hot buttons" so then you may see a better open rate.

Another thing is some of it depends on you and how much your list / subscribers trust you and like your info. If you have built some good trust and credibility then you could send an average strength subject line and still get a good open rate.

There really are a lot of variables to consider, you are best to test things yourself and make a note on the things that have worked for you and use them ideas for future subject lines :-)

      Hope this helps a bit
