Might be a dumb question, but... "email mail merge" ??

I know all about aweber and other auto responders.
People opt in, then you can email to them using emails that *merge* with the database (like using their actual first name in each email).

But how would I do this?... take a bunch of emails that I have (NOT within an autoresponder), then set THAT list up so I can "bulk" email to the list AND mail merge data like first name, etc.

Would word for windows do that? If not, what programs would do that?

Please advise. Thanks!

    TW,
I use a program called World Merge - by ColoradoSoft. Its for a list I've had for years so don't have much fear of being labeled a spammer when I use it - the folks on the list know me very well.

I keep their emails and other items in an excel spreadsheet and can use that to create individual responses to them - rather quickly.

    WorldMerge (not an affiliate link)

Depending on how technical you are you should check out phplist if you have your own server - not a shared hosting account since bulk email from a shared account gets a bit tricky, if its allowed at all.

    Best of luck,
