How do you find Amazon affiliates?

How do find Amazon affiliates to promote your product?

I have an ebook that I wrote, and I was wondering if you have to find Amazon affiliates to promote the product for you, or do you just post your ebook on Amazon hoping it to be found by affiliates who just show up and promote your product.

I don't think you need to find affiliates. They will find it and promote it if they think it's a good product.

To be honest I don't know of a single Amazon affiliate that promotes ebooks. The majority of ebooks are sold for less than $5 and with such a low commission rate it wouldn't be worth it.

If you want affiliates to promote your ebook why not put it on Clickbank or JVZoo where you can charge more and affiliates will get a higher commission?

Do you plan to sell your ebook on Amazon only? Not sure is the best idea. I'd put it on amazon, but at same time make a site for it and put it on CB or jvzoo, make a wso, etc. You have more chances finding affiliates to promote your ebook on CB then amazon. Depends on the ebook though, what it's about, how many people will be willing to pay for it and how much...

I agree with what the previous people stated about Amazon affiliates and ebooks. However, if you were to go about it, you might want to do a google search for your topic. Find the top blogs and websites in your niche, then see who uses Amazon to promote products. Contact those webmasters directly, and ask them if they could add your product to their list of products.

Better than that, build a relationship with them, and promote their site first, so they take notice of you.

For selling things on Amazon, the affiliates find you.

I would however like other people on this thread suggest you sell an ebook in as many places as possible to maximize sales.

As others said, Amazon is a whole different thing than say clickbank (where you more actively seek out affiliates.) The trick with Amazon for ANY product (physical or digital) is to get a great sales rank which will boost you higher in Amazon's search engine for your keywords. How do you do this? Get REVIEWS for your book(s) (or physical products- as is the case for my business). How do you get reviews? Give away copies? I give away tons of physical products to get reviews which costs a lot of money (but the return is WELL worth it.) Digital products are IDEAL to give away since it costs you nothing. Give copies to friends, family, advertise free copies in forums and blogs in your niche. Create a youtube video, a press release- actively seek out people from the Amazon Vine program. If you don't mind losing a a little money on the front-end, lower the price of the ebook/kindle book, send these people a gift card or product code to have them BUY the book (but make sure they get it free- either the gift card will cover the cost or the code will take 100% off.) This will tell Amazon that people are actually BUYING the product which will increase sales and will get you a better sales rank. This will get you to the top of the search engine thus bringing more sales. Once your product is high up in the search engines, affiliates come running... and bring even more sales. Good luck!

I have to agree... I wouldn't promote a book on amazon as an affiliate :-)

Well Sometimes I do when it comes up in content but its normally a complimentary product to the main product :-)

Yeah Amazon has its own affiliate program and from memory you cant promote to their affiliates.

I believe they do something similar to WF in the fact that they mail everyone with great new releases, so if your book is good and it sells well, they will promote it for you.

Kind of like the best sellers section at your local book store!

Make it good, it will sell!
