Back in 2012 I had a T-shirt designed and made.

I had 25 done in total and put them on ebay for sale.

they didn't do well, I only sold them to friends and family and have a pile of them in the corner of my garage gathering dust. I'll probably throw them out or give them to a charity shop. the design was poor, the shirts were poor. so no wonder.

I am thinking of starting again, new design, new t-shirt, all improved.

I tried to do it as cheaply as possible before, I had too, I was only working part time in retail and couldn't afford to spend more than what I did.

But now, working full time and on a better wage, I am sure I can afford to pay more of a premium to get this done properly.

What I want to do though before spending too much money, is establish a pre-order system somehow, to see if there is any interest at all.

Is there any advice on not only, sorting out the pre order system, but on getting the T-shirts made?

I previously used a supplier in china that I had found through Alibaba, but want to make sure I get some decent t-shirts this time around.

This will be a start of an exciting idea I have for the products I'd would sell on the back of this.

Thanks

The best way to do it would be to signup with a wholesale t-shirt company, one that only accepts registered businesses. Get yourself an LLC (usually costs $250 in most states). Buy however many t-shirts you need and buy a press to imprint your design on the t-shirts manually yourself. Amazon has t-shirt press machines for cheap. This is the most cost-effective way to do it in the beginning.

As for pre-ordering, maybe setup a website and advertise the t-shirts and have a form for pre-ordering?

    thanks.

trying to avoid heat printing as much as possible. looks cheap and doesn't last in my opinion.

also, I am based in the UK. Not sure how much that would differ from what you've suggested with regards to a wholesaler.

    Thanks Zayne.

The main issue is whether there will be demand for my product.

I have 4hww, but didn't read it all the way through and didn't read that part.

    I'll revisit is.

    Thanks
