What types of Internet Marketing are there?

What are the different types of making money online? I have been trying to make some money online but I guess I didnt focus on a strategy for making money. I have heard of a few types of internet marketing but do not know the options....

    Literally hundreds! Just like there are hundreds of ways of marketing offline. Here's a few:-

    Blogging
    Affliate marketing
    domaining (including buying and selling domains)
    site flipping
    CPA (driving traffic to signup offers)
    building own products (physical and non physical)
    article marketing
    ecommerce selling
    ebay/amazon selling
    list building
    lead generation
    online brokering
    helping brick and mortar businesses with online activities

    It all depends on the skills you have!

      This is so true, except it depends more on "developing" your skills in JUST ONE (or two) of them. If most people trying to make it online would just focus on one thing, and stick it though, they'd be much better off than doing the classic "jump around" method.

      Heck, half of the things I was doing when I first started would be making me a large sum if I just stayed with it. My main focus now is on niche marketing and product creation, and it's been growing like crazy!

      You just gotta find what works, and multiply it. You will never find out what works though, if you don't FULLY test it and give it a fair go.

      Also, Curtis is correct. If you are starting with no money (for outsourcing etc...) you may want to consider the service side of things until you have enough money to play with, (depending on the path you take)

      I could write all day, but I will just leave it at that.

      Pick something, and follow it through, until you see results.

    Yup if you want to make money online focusing on something that will make money is good.

    I would go for affiliate marketing since it is the easiest and cheapest way to get started.

    I strongly believe, from experience, that it is important to get profitable in one business model before moving to a second. I wouldn't quit your day job until you are making profit from one business plan. Choose a business model that fits your budget, teach yourself everything you need to know to implement the plan, and work on it in your spare time six days a week.

    I also recommend affiliate marketing to start, as the expenses are low.

    An easy way to make money online when you're first getting started is to offer a service if you're lucky enough to have a relevant skill such as writing, web design, programming, and so on.

    You can learn while you earn - people with skills such as those above (and more) and people who do "boring stuff" like link building or social bookmarking are always in demand
