Check out some of the past 'sales' on Flippa. Pay attention to the domains of the sites. Try loading them up. What pattern do you see?

It can be effective. You'll find that sites with income sell the best - often regardless of their niche. You could also consider selling them on domain and webmaster forums.

Thanks Victoria, I tried on other forums and some websites sold but I have not ever sold on flippa. Thus I want to hear some opinions on this forum.

        hi
It really depends if the buyer would find value in your site. For example is it making money, is it a site that most people won't be bothered to set up but need (because most people DO actually need these sites that sell for anything between $100 and $200 but just cant be asked to set it up).

Anyway thats just what I've realised from some research on flippa.

BTW if your site is making money it does NOT matter what niche your site is in.

So to answer your question, YES it is still effective.

        Hope that helps

Yes! Of Course! If you have a good site with real proofs...you can sell sites at $10.000! and much more

What doesn't work? The crappy PLR sites with facked adsense proofs for example.

Site flipping seems very profitable. I ALWAYS see buyers overbidding on sites.

Flippa is popular and is doing really good for website flippers but if your site is not good then flippa has nothing to do with it.

I believe flippa is largely overrated.

The "real" site flippers usually get brokers that will list them on private marketplaces and send them to a list of buyers.

If you site however is making less than, I'd say $20,000 a year, flippa is not too bad. But justa step above digitalpoint imo.

I can see how this method would have been useful back when micro niche sites made money, but I think it would be pretty hard to make money this way anymore. Then again, i'm sure there are a select few who manage to do it.
