OTOs conversion and pricing?

Hi, I am about to insert an OTO in my funnel, and wondered what is a good conversion rate? Out of a hundred sign ups, how many buy the OTOs?

As far as pricing, I am torn between $7, and $14. What would be your advice?

If you dont mind me asking, what was your conversion rate on that $10 OTO, and the upsell?

It will vary and is impossible to predict. I like to get my OTOs at least paying my ad costs. If they get people in my funnel for free I feel that's good enough.

Prices that end in 7 pull better than any other ending number. You can probably find the theory behind it on Google.

The best way to find out:

    Test.

And if you are done testing: test

    And then test some more.

    HP

    PS:
On my last WSO the front end did
cost $17 and the OTO $27 and 50% bought the OTO.

    PPS:
I did not test. I just did it. Just so happened that the first test was a home run.

If you dont mind me asking, and Im not trying to be rude, but why do people ask these silly questions? Did you just ask what would be a better price ($7 or $14) for a product that you dont even say what is? Do you honestly expect someone to suggest a price on something that they dont know what is?

    Lets reiterate your question.

Hmmm I have this thing that Im selling, and Im thinking of adding a different thing as an OTO to my thing, so tell me how much should I charge for my OTO thing, and how many people who buy my first thing should I expect will buy the OTO thing?

My rule of thumb is your OTO should be priced at around 3x the cost of your front end offer (at least). $7-$14 is way too little for a OTO. The OTO is supposed to be your real money earner. A good OTO should convert anywhere from 40-50%. That's what mine usually do.

As WSO's the price points that have worked well for me have been things such as $9.97 for the front end product, $37 for the OTO and then $27 for a downsell (cheaper version of the OTO with something taken away from it).

But as with anything the conversion rate will be dependent on how good the OTO is and how closely related it is to the front end product they have just purchased. Your OTO should ideally be something that adds automation or speed to the front end offer. For example you might sell a report that teaches people a technique to get traffic from Youtube. Your OTO would then be a piece of software that automated the process for them.
