Newb-- how to cloak clickbank links

Hi I'm new and green,

I'm not tech savvy, so what is probably easy for most of you is pretty hard for me. For ex, I want to cloak my clickbank links and I know about tinyurl. Whenever I click on someone else's tinyurl, I am always sent to the tiny url home page asking if I really want to go to the url.

Seems like the extra click would confuse or at least hinder a prospective sale.

Can anyone recommend a relatively easy to use Word Press plug in for this? I tried one, but could not figure out how to use it.

Personally, I am not a fan of the tinyurl (or similar options) approach. They always come across as trying to "hide" something and that translates into lower user confidence and lower click thrus...

I would just create a directory on your site with a redirect instead - clean and effective..

So, mydomain.com/offer

Then in the offer subdirectory you put a simple header redirect HTML file... and save it as index.html and you're done.

Just replace the red text below with your affiliate link. Then in your content use the mydomain.com/offer syntax above. They will come to this redirect HTML file and be sent on to your affiliate destination of choice.

Example:

<HTML>
<HEAD>

<TITLE></TITLE>
<META HTTP-EQUIV="refresh"
CONTENT="0;URL=YOUR URL GOES HERE">
</HEAD>
<BODY>
</BODY>
</HTML>

just make sure that your "cloak" is ClickBank approved... redirects are A-Okay , but framed cloaking is a big no-no in CB's TOS....
