Visitors on my site went down, why?

Hey, I am new here and found that this forum could help me.

I have a web site

Best PC Reviews
and had it since 2007

Several years ago I was getting about 100 visits a day (which is still low). Now I get only about 20-30 a day. Can you tell me what do you think happened?

And would you say adwords is the best way for me to increase traffic or there is something better?

My web site focuses on reviews and news on PC hardware, games, and much more. Please let me know what you think, Thanks a lot

So the site is called BEST PC REVIEWS but you have articles talking about cars, electronic razors, bike mounts, and bike sirens?

Sounds like your site is all over the place, probably confusing your visitors. You need to be more focused, specifically on PC REVIEW related content. Probably confusing the hell out of Google as well.

    Thanks. Its REVIEWS.

I just wanted to write about more stuff (may be like PC MAGAZINE because they now covering more than PC stuff)

Besides shouldn't I still get a good number of visits from google search?

yea but Google also takes into account relevancy. If your title tag, description, backlinks, anchor text, and so on all relate to pc reviews your articles on bikes or cars probably won't be ranking well anyways.

PC Magazine can get away with branching out because they have good branding. Everyone knows PC Magazine, it's evolved into a brand bigger than just only computer stuff, but for many years they were only strictly about computers.

A lot of chatter about another google update because of some major SERP changes however Matt said no major updates just before christmas.. so probably still an update..

On top of that google is hunting for link networks so if you use that you're sitting on hot coles anyway..

I think people don't like your mixed content.

    I see. Thanks

So if I start doing reviews and news only on PC Hardware, games, software etc.

What can I do regarding increasing traffic? Should I use adwords?

you are offering sponsored posts also which are unrelated to your niche...This might be the reason for dropping of your serps.

Do you still actively post content and promote your site? If not then of course your visitors will go down a lot.

Have you tried guest blogging? It's another way to increase visitors to your site. Visit 3 to 4 competitors in your niche. Send them an email explaining that you'd like to write content for their site.

It's a great way to get your name out there, and provide value to the community. Plus all of the traffic that you get from those guest blog posts will be targeted.
